Another Vote just came through the fax machine. I'm pretty sure the answers are No and NO to the following questions:
1. Do you agree to the use of 'crickets' as a means to signal a member that they may be offending to someone else? YES or NO
2. Are you a forum member that wants to work with other members to find solutions to keep cpaptalk.com functioning without conflict? YES or NO

Not sure what to think of this.... Seems harsh and maybe too RenFaire for someone like me who is not RenFaire.

PS: for those that maybe don't understand the term RenFaire. It is short for Renaissance Faire, not Reconnaissance Faire - which is like a gun show with surveillance equipment.

Hey Guize More votes Coming In!
1. Do you agree to the use of 'crickets' as a means to signal a member that they may be offending to someone else? YES or NO
2. Are you a forum member that wants to work with other members to find solutions to keep cpaptalk.com functioning without conflict? YES or NO

I had this one in the InBox - I think this is a BIG YES to Question #1 and NO to Question #2 because Answer to Question #1 should fix it.

Image

I also had this one slipped under the powder room stall. I think this is another BIG YES to Question #1

Image

I think Question #1 is really gaining some steam!

Proposal Summary:

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in answering my original questions in this thread. Contrary to what some have misinterpreted, there is no right or wrong answer to either question. I chose to start this thread because I have noticed that when particularly bad flare ups happen, a lot of people talk about how it needs to get better, a few leave, and the cyber-bullying continues - but no one actually talks about solutions. The mindset is "well, Johnny G says we can't moderate, so we're stuck.."

As this thread progressed, I was very curious just how many members seemed quite bothered by these two seemingly simple questions:

And YES!! I got TONS of PM's about it (TIP to Palerider & Gasper: if you want a thread to die, you should stop posting to it as soon as possible )

I'm sorry to say that I will be out for the next few weeks due to surgery and recovery, so won't be able to post for a while. However, I will return to help with more ideas for solutions, if there are members who want to go that route.

Have a great week

Sleepy/Sappy, I am quite sure that you haven't the foggiest clue about what I might "want". So, in that spirit, please put your "tip" to me where the sun don't shine. Please put the crickets up there too while yer at it.

Brilliant I say ... just keep on posting those kind words in the thread you want to see end.

To Sleepyeyes and Lucy,
Looks to me like both of you are doing your very best to create conflict right now.
Sleepyeyes, I reject your proposal. You do not have the skills to lead this discussion.

Gasper reacted in self defense.
Lucy joined in with Sleepyeyes to keep it going.

Sleepyeyes wrote another post joining in with Lucy and then deleted his post.
Lucy wrote another post and then deleted it.

Nice work guys!

Hay, Hey!

It is unnecessary to instruct people to do unsanitary acts; that is gross and a good way to get pink eye.

Also, lots of this - Image Isn't a good way to be taken seriously.

I was wondering who took it upon themselves to delete my post -- after they copied it that is. And you were the one talking about free speech!?? Way to go. I'm contacting the Goodmans.

Good morning Lucy.

You do like to create trouble don't you.

I selected quote and attempted to respond to your post and it would not send because someone had already deleted it.
The administrative sleepyhead response was that your post no longer existed.

Same with Sleepyeye's post.

The Goodman's have the ability to check back and see who deleted these posts.

I am not the one.

Kathy

Quote - "Lively Hood ? Is that a new urban music niche ? A new record lable/label ? You guys/gals are pure entertainment !"

To be clear.... ^^this lighthearted, jocular post ^^ is what was construed by a couple of mental defectives as a nasty indication that I want this silly and pointless thread to come to it's end. WTF, really ? I honestly could not care less if this thread lives or dies. Drama, drama, drama..... I have a life far removed from this scene, I highly recommend that others do too.
