Newbie needs some advice

Recently diagnosed with OSA and started using ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet about 10 days ago. At first the CPAP machine seemed nice and quiet, but by the 3rd or 4th night, it suddenly got loud with each inhale. The noise is coming from the machine, not my mask, and from the intake left side, not by the humidifier tank or the hose attachment. I've tried everything I've read here about possible solutions, and I also insist that it's not just normal breathing sounds. The inhale sound is so intense, even if I purposely take a very gentle inhale. It has awakened my husband, and keeps me from getting back to sleep when I awaken during the night. It is helpful to have read here that others have had this same issue so I hope I can get my DME rep to replace it. It has been stated elsewhere on these forums that there was obviously a batch of these machines that have this issue - anyone have any idea if there is a particular way to know (i.e. serial #s, etc) if this machine is in this batch, or any other they exchange it for? I need to travel soon and I don't want to be going back and forth trying machine after machine. Is there definitely one that is reliably quiet?

Even a slight mask leak can cause loud breathing sounds...be sure to check that out too.

You might also check the intake filter(s). True, seems early but one never knows...
