I had this same issue when I get my first setup. Nose was sore, feeling like I had been punched in the nose. Not sure if it was the mask being too tight, or me just not being used to the pressure. The second night, I played with the straps, and got it adjusted more comfortable. By the third or fourth night, I no longer noticed the problem. For me, it was a combination of getting used to CPAP, and adjusting the mask to be tight enough to work, but not too tight. The sore nose made it easier for me to find the 'too tight' point.

I've also noticed, each time i replaced the worn-out straps, that the new straps sometimes take a week or two to 'break in', and initially may cause something similar to what you're experiencing.

Hello again! I am pleased to say that last night, I slept without issues after adjusting the head straps. I may try on the other nasal pillows to see if it feels even better, but I woke up this morning without any pain or irritation. Thank you all for your help.
