Highly suspect I have OSA--any options for help for me?
Re: Highly suspect I have OSA--any options for help for me?
You mentioned that when you read some of the letters are missing. I have had this happen to me occasionally, also sometimes accompanied with bright zig zags In my field of vision. As I said, this happens once in a great while (not every day.) I was diagnosed with ocular migraines. I tend to get them when I am experiencing higher stress levels, and I think that being overly tired probably contributes as well.

I know exactly what you're talking about--I have ocular migraines, too--but that's a different thing from what I mean. This is just after I wake up for maybe an hour or two, and it's not exactly like text is missing, it's just...man, it's hard to describe. If you've ever been drunk, it's almost the same kind of vision issue--a little vague, a little sparkly, a little weird. Just kinda like my eyes don't work quiiite right. Doesn't happen all the time, but I go through phases of it.Guest wrote:You mentioned that when you read some of the letters are missing. On another note, after doing some more reading, I highly suspect my issue is Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome. I recorded myself breathing and got quite a shock--no snoring, no pausing, no snorting...nothing I was expecting. However, It seems that I breathe VERY shallowly the whole night. Scared the pants off of me when I first listened to it. At first I thought it might be Central, but when I think about the improvement I've shown on thyroid meds...probably not Central. Currently waiting for my doctor to get back to me after being on vacation.
