I don't leak many leak issues with this mask. I am well below the acceptable standard by resmed for leak rate.chunkyfrog wrote:A mask that consistently leaks, regardless of careful adjustment, probably does not fit.
Good luck in finding a mask that fits correctly.
You may have to consider other manufacturers, or even a forehead brace mask.
I was only able to use a gel full face mask by P/R, as it was the only one that worked for me.

Re: Best Full Face Mask For High Pressure Bipap
I've been using the Mirage Quattro for more than 3 years now with higher pressures.
I started out with Bi-pap pressures over 20, but I'm now slightly lower with a 19 IPAP and 14.4 EPAP.
I've tried the various new Resmed and Simplus masks that have come out over the past few years, but I keep going back to old reliable.
Having high pressure Bi-pap can be a major struggle to find a mask that works for you and controls leaks. Your pressures go there every breath whereas ASV can go there occasionally. it takes patience and a positive attitude to finally succeed.

Last night I used a beanie and then put my mask on the headgear was so much more comfortable. I am thinking of trying the softcap headgear from cpap.Com I just have to measure my big fat head

Can anyone recommend a mask for me please. My pressures are high - 24 Ipap and 20 Epap. Aerocare provided me with a F&P Simplus M/L, but it starts leaking during the night and my sleep is disturbed.
The doctor lowered the pressure to 20 Ipap and 16 Epap, however, my events per hour jumped up over 30!

My pressure is also high - 24 Ipap and 20 Epap - and was provided with a F&P Simplus M/L which starts to leak during the night and my sleep is disturbed. Should I try the Airfit F10?sleepwiggler wrote:I love my airfit f10 but because my pressure can go up to 25 I gave to keep the mastight the problem is the headgear is what really bothers me I have the large mask and headgear.
What are some good alternative ffm's with comfortable headgear.

Are you sure you're not overtightening the mask now? That can create new micro leaks that weren't there before and it keeps the cushion from inflating as it needs to.
Otherwise, everyone's face is very different structurally and FF masks in particular must be tried on lying down as your face changes a lot then... you really need to try on various ones yourself.

My mask is an AMARA GEL mask
I use Bipap ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
This mask works fine for me. My high

Julie I don't have leaks when my pressure was changed to 20 Ipap and 16 Epap. However, I did earlier when it was 24 Ipap and 20 Epap, and, I may need to go back to this pressure since my events per hour have jumped from 5 to 10 to over 30.Julie wrote:Are you sure you're not overtightening the mask now? I was using the F&P Simplus, but switched to the Amara View in late December. My IPAP starts at 20 and normally goes to around 21 or 22 but can go as high as 25. I have been very happy with the mask. I also use a foam cervical collar at night.
