Resmed S9 auto stopping and then restarting

I have noticed my machine auto stopping (possibly a sw crash) and then auto restarting. I woke up at least few times, and then there was no air thru the normal leak port of the mask. It is set to auto start with my breathing, and it does auto restart. This happens at irregular times, and have not seen anything that I can correlate to as the cause. There was no mask open leak at all, when I woke up. Yes if the mask were open there would be such a loud noise and it takes many seconds before the machine shut down that a light sleeper like me would hear it.

Normally my AHI is <0.5, the leak summary is green; actually almost everyday, including the night I noticed the shutdown.

Has anybody noticed this problem? My Remedy S9 is of Dec 2012. Unfortunately my current provider for the last couple of years is different from the one I bought this machine. I am thinking how to convince the previous vendor the machine is defective, since this happens not that often and at random times.

I believe that problem (in various ways) has plagued the S9s and also the PR System Ones over the last several years.
I don't know for sure what resolved each one........whether it was a power supply or connectors or what, but it has been reported on the forum.

You might contact http://www.acbio.com to see if they know what the problem may be. They are an authorized ResMed repair shop now in addition to the Philips/Respironics line.

I have the same problem with my S9. I wake up and the machine is off. It only seems to happen once every 6 months or so. I made a few calls, but since the problem is intermittent, I have decided to put up with it.
