Nuance & Nuance Pro Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Gel Nasal Pillows:
Does anyone have advice/input on the cloth straps vs. the gel straps?
Nuance & Nuance Pro: which one?
Re: Nuance & Nuance Pro: which one?
I've only used the one with the gel straps (Nuance pro) so cannot give you a comparison. However, I'd like to draw your attention to my post of Oct 29 about this mask. You can find it here:Trench wrote:Nuance & Nuance Pro Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Gel Nasal Pillows:

What I found is that the gel pads are only glued into the frame of the mask and with normal use, they will pop out of the frame, rendering the mask almost useless. This happened to me after just a few months of use. Others have had this same problem.
I was able to re-glue the gel pads to the frame, but the jury is still out on how long this will last.
Having to take measures to fix a design flaw in a mask is something I would prefer to avoid.
I'm workin' on it.
Re: Nuance & Nuance Pro: which one?
I use the Nuance Pro but have tried both.
I found the cloth strap comfortable, but it didn't stabilize the nasal pillows as well for me - I was getting more leaks.
I prefer the plastic frame of the Pro version as I can exactly position the gel pads and they pretty much stay "stuck" to my face where I put them, thereby keeping the nasal pillows securely in place.
I wash the nasal pillows and the frame daily with Dr. Bronner's soap and can usually get a frame to last for four to six months before the gel pad pops out of it and it is time to buy a new frame. I have never tried to "glue" the pad back into place and probably never will.

Re: Nuance & Nuance Pro: which one?
I have both but prefer the regular one to the pro one. It is more durable. When I travel I don't want a mask falling apart on me. When I am home and have spares handy I give the pro a run. But I end up coming back to the regular one so I guess I like it better.
