I currently use an Eson nasal mask that uses a small filter at the nose of the mask to diffuse exhaled air. these small filters are supposed to be changed out every couple of months.
I don't have any more and they seem awfully expensive for just a small piece. has anyone had any luck with replacing it with something around the house? or even a large cheap store bought air filter that i can cut pieces out of to replace?
its not required to use this filter on my mask but it does help with reducing noise and blasting my wife in the face with concentrated air at night.
Thank you

I don't know your situation, but, $1.30 every 2 months doesn't sound out of line. You might search e-bay to see if there are any deals there.

Comparison shopping can be very enlightening.
What ridiculous price were you quoted by the local clip joint?
A buck thirty is less than a half dozen eggs most places.
It will get you ANYTHING at Dollar Tree, with change for the parking meter.
Splurge! You are worth it.

Re: Eson nasal mask diffuser alternatives
Searching the Web, the best price I found was $.90 per filter.
Search for "Eson nasal mask filters" and you might find even more.
Since the only diffuse the exhaled air mixed with incoming filtered air from your machine, why are you replacing them?
On my machine, the equivalent diffuser develops black spots so I dump them once a month when I replace the fine filter on the intake to the machine. I suspect a quick wash in a very dilute solution of plain, no scent bleach, followed by a thorough rinse in distilled water would return them to like new condition.
I'm with LAST, a buck once a month seems like a small amount for my health.
