Getting sleep data

Post by treehugger » Wed Nov 18, 2015 10:06 pm

I've been using this BiPap machine for 1 week. Before that I used PR System One REMstar BiPAP Pro and Humidifier for 3 weeks but had to switch because of insurance. I have used the same full face mask, the ResMed AirFit F10. I am compliant and very excited about getting restorative sleep. My sleep study was this summer. I have been a restless sleeper and prefer sleeping on my left side. I sleep with the mask for 5-7 hours and then have to wake up briefly to take medication. I usually go back to sleep without the machine. I breathe through my mouth during the day and start out that way at night, but then I start mouth breathing. I am obese.

I am having difficulty keeping a seal. I would guess that's a common problem. You guys seem to be getting all kinds of information & feedback and I have no idea how to do that. There's nothing in my paperwork about this. My screen gives me a sad face for the seal and a happy face for the humidifier. I don't know how to access any other information. Can you help?

Look at the 1st 'Announcement' on the main pg - Tutorials, etc... and you can download (free) SleepyHead software from there and learn all about it and how to use it, as so many of us do. Then come back to this thread for any questions or problems, or to tell us how you're doing with it.

Go here and request the clinical manual for your machine.
http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual
In that manual are instructions for seeing the more detailed data on that LCD screen besides the little faces on the machine.

The sad Mr Frowny face for leak management...he shows up when leaks are in large leak territory for 30% or more of the night....so that's pretty bad. You need to use the software to see just how bad though.
Software options explained here

I downloaded the manual and through it today. Now, I'll start on the sleepyhead software. Thank you both!

Is there a way to edit/correct a post once it's submitted?
I downloaded the manual and read through it today. Now, I'll start on the sleepyhead software. I am very much NOT computer savvy, so it may take me a while to figure it out.
Thank you both!

Yes, you can edit your own post once submitted, but you must be signed in. Sign in and look at your post above. You will see an "edit" button top left side. Now, if you post without signing in I don't think that you can correct it, but I've never tried it. I don't like fooling with the CAPTCHA.
