I use the RespCare HYBRID FFM. Used a FFM for several years but, couldn't sleep on my side without it leaking. The FFM has a large area to seal. The HYBRID has a much smaller area to seal. I have much better luck with it for side sleeping.

I have traumatic brain injury (TBI, also known as ABI, or CHI): car accident 30 years ago, Sydney, Australia.SleepyCPAP wrote:Hi bpathakis,
I hope you don't mind my late response. I tried a few masks, and the one which I'm most confident using when side sleeping is the TAP PAP. I like it because it does not have straps, so snuggling my cheeks into the pillow does not disrupt the good seal (and no strap marks in the morning).
If you want to try it CPAP.COM offers it with free return insurance (so if you don't like it after trying it for a bit you just pay to ship it back, and get your purchase price back).

Problem is that at different times of the night, I YAWN.
Yawning is ok with my (heavy) full face mask. TAP PAP - yawning ok??

I use the ResMed Mirage FX for her...for him is the same mask but with different color and size headgear..pink for her, grey for him. I only sleep on my side and this mask works great. One size fits most, and the mask is very soft and pliable. Good luck.
