If it is going to work, it should work the first night.

They are so much more convenient than chinstraps. The collars don't interfere with most types of headgear.

Plus, they serve dual purposes - holding the chin up and keeping the neck/airway in the best position.
CG Thanks sooo much for this advice. I bought one yesterday from cvs. They only had one size, 3.5 inches. It worked like a charm and I am a happy camper for sure.
My chin strap slipped waking me up once or twice a night. And even with a chin strap and my mouth taped, I had some mouth leak problems.
This is a dream come true.......been fighting this for 4 years. My leaks are gone, being woken by my slipping chin strap is gone, and to top it all off, my OA's are gone.......first time ever.
I had 2 very short CA's last night, that's it.
So now, 30% of nothing...really is nothing.

You have to experiment. It will vary with the individual.

Not to discourage you, but I still mouthbreathe at times and therefore use a FFM and a cervical collar. But, the collar has reduced my mouthbreathing by maybe 90%.

I do have a high CPAP pressure which tends to cause more mouthbreathing. Maybe you will need a low pressure.

One word of caution, the cells in the foam bring down fairly quickly, and the collar needs to be replaced regularly. I may experiment with a stiff collar.

Yes, checked when I got home, nothing on the cvs box about size so I guess they just sell a generic one. Anyways night 2 and it works without any hassle.
