Why doesn't anyone use the chat forum? Just wondering...

There's a chat bubble at the top of the forum screen, across from the search box. I didn't notice it until just now either.

Most people have better things to do. If you have a specific question you can get it answered here.

I can't help myself: that's an asinine reply. Real time chat versus posting a thread that may never be seen? Seriously? So you would rather post something than speak to an actual human being? I'll keep you in my thoughts...

I went in there once about 10 years ago. Didn't particularly find the experience to my liking, so I've never been back.
Over the years, I've rarely seen names I recognized and got the impression at times that it had sort of been taken over by a bunch of sleep lab technical types who didn't particularly like sharing the space. I don't know for sure, so I've just stayed out.

I guess I'm sort of like LSAT in that regard.

I can understand that, Wulfman. I think there are benefits to both the forum and the chat - forum is great for getting questions answered. And, for us newbies who just need to commiserate with others going through the same thing, the real-time conversation in chat is nice. To each his own.

The chat room was once a vibrant community. Was not working for a while then took on a new look that was harder for some to follow, and the notification of who is live I don't think has worked properly since. It is not conducive to a pleasant user experience, so I just quit going in there.

It's working now! Since I posted this several members and non-members have joined the conversation. I think that all of you experienced users should hop back in and help offer your guidance, wisdom, and experience. I think that all of the newer generation of CPAP users and SA sufferers would greatly appreciate your advice in a real time format. I know that I would...

Still says 7 are in chat. Stopped in and nobody's live. I was unclear with what I said about it not working. One can use chat, it just always says people are there who are not. No way to know if someone is really there without going in.

Said 8 were chatting when I dropped in, but they were like all zombies, or something. Didn't seem to be any live people there chatting. There had been people, but all gone now.

Talking about an asinine reply.....If you have ever gone to chat, you have noted that YOU ARE NOT SPEAKING...YOU ARE POSTING YOUR WORDS BACK AND FORTH. You really don't know what you are talking about. (Same for the silly goat...or is it an ass...I can't tell)...By the way...the people posting here ARE human beings.

LOL, once again, someone brand new to the forum telling the "old timer" who has helped probably 1000 newbies, how it should be done. You really should be here a while and see how it works before you spout off. The knowledgeable folks replying to these messages do not work for the website, they are cpap users just like the rest of us and are willing to share their knowledge (on their time).

Sounds to me like you should go to a pay for advice website, someone will be with you shortly... Or better yet, why don't you just sit on chat in case someone needs some help.
