Monitoring: S9 Wireless Module

Post by Physician » Thu Oct 29, 2015 10:16 am

OLD THREAD: viewtopic/t77248/ResMed-S9-AutoSet-mode ... flict.html

My new S9 uses both the wireless feature and the SD card. They both can be used. The wireless feature is given for free. No charge for the accessory and no monthly charge. So the screen, SD card, and wireless transmission can all three be used to monitor values. No need to ever return to the Sleep Doc or DME for only compliance reporting.

The AS10 is better with reference to wireless for those people who don't know or care to adjust their settings, because the patient can sign on to see the transmissions, and the physician or DME can modify the machine. I want to change any settings myself, so the S9 modem is more than sufficient. I would never purchase the S9 modem, but since it was free and preferred my DMEs, fine.

On close inspection it doesn't seem to have a microphone nor video camera. Phew!!

ResMed Literature: http://www.resmed.com/int/assets/docume ... ow_eng.pdf

Anyone know how this card establishes intermittent contact and with which cell carrier and when it sends the report? Daily ? Summary each month? If the modem is disconnected for a month, then reconnected, will it "catch up" so that all data is transmitted?

You're not stealing. You're contributing, and your inquiry is relevant.

I was told that AS10 users can access their data on a website, but S9 users cannot. That's okay. Don't want my AHI on the cloud.

the s9 is really not a good machine. I tried the s9 for a year and the sensor was malfunctioning and it was blasting the hose off of the machine.

Your posting off topic in a thread. Correct your sentence from "the S9....." to "My S9....". My S9 is the most reliable thing in this house. Perfection.
