I thought about this before you did but if I remember right you are a good sized guy with a normal, for a good sized guy. head and probably need a medium or a large in a full face mask and I am a rather small petite woman with a smallish head and and mouth area and I asked for a Small size.
You know the size is for the part that covers the mouth...now if you have a smallish mouth area..it might work. I had already thought that I could maybe sell it to you for my co pay which will be around $30 I think but I am thinking that you probably will need a larger oral interface.
The mask comes with all the cushion sizes but the oral interface comes in Small, Med and Large.

Now I don't have a printer so I haven't really sized the thing but in all the other FFM and the Hybrid that I tried I have taken the small sizes.

There's no "perfect" mask for one person out there and there sure isn't a mask that everyone does well with or even likes.
We all have different preferences and needs.
One of my preferences is "less on my face and head" and I gladly give up a little in stability to get "less on my face and head". Someone else maybe has a preference for total stability and they don't care how much mask and headgear they stick on their face/head. It's simply a matter of personal preference.

Some people can't tolerate nasal pillows for any number of reasons and whatever that reason might be is a good enough reason in my book. Just like my reasons for not wanting to use so and so mask are good enough reasons in my book. The fact that someone simply doesn't want to go there...that's good enough reason.
My job isn't to decide for a person what mask they should use...my job is to educate and help a person use whatever mask it is that they want to use. "want" is more than enough reason for me.
Now what someone might "want" and what they can be successful with doesn't always work out so well but it hurts nothing to try whatever we can to attempt to make it work before we tell someone to go with a different mask type of model.

When I first tried it my AHI was double my untreated AHI - not very successful! I had trouble at the forehead and sides of the mouth (same as with the Amara View) usually when I licked my lips. Nevertheless, I used it for comfort after my cauterization last week and managed an AHI of 5.09. I do appreciate having options if I need a change for some reason.

I actually was wondering because I have a female friend who is just starting out on CPAP and I was able to acquire an older resmed CPAP S8 for her for free and got her a wisp mask for free, but she is a HUGE mouth breather. So I was going to ask if you would be willing to part with it and for how much so I could pay it forward to her since it is full face.

Ahh...that makes sense. The problem is if I return it to DME then I get a new mask that I can use.
If I sell it I have burned my once every 6 month mask allowance which isn't that big of a deal but I would need to be at least reimbursed for my out of pocket co pay and I am not exactly sure what that would be with a full face mask since they typically have a little higher insurance allowance. I anticipate somewhere between 30 and 40 $. They are always horribly slow about sending me the final bill...if that's horrible.
When I have offered to do this (sell a mask experiment that I used my insurance for) in the past people seem to want me to discount it more (didn't like my price) since it was slightly used...and while I would love to keep giving away this stuff...my pocketbook doesn't allow for my doing it as much as I would like.

I think I do have a small full face mask of some sort that you can just have for cost of postage.
Let me check on it and get back with you on it. I think it is one of the Quattros but I forget which one.

We can talk about the Amara View later once I finally get it and we can decide what you want to do at that time.

Let me go dig around in the stash box to see if I am dreaming about a Small Quattro or not.

I would never want to take a mask from you where it leaves you in the red in a really bad way! If you don't like the mask and can get another one from your DME that is totally the way to go. I have a couple of other leads on some full face masks for her as well.

I found....
a Quattro size small with a spare new sealed cushion....it's the ResMed Mirage Quattro with the forehead piece.
and a
ResMed Liberty hybrid with small cushion and looks like a couple of nasal pillows of some size. Close enough to give someone an idea if they would like it or not.

Why don't I send both and she can try them both and keep both or let you offer them on the forum if she hates them? Both are in excellent shape...used very little.

Mailing will probably be around $9 maybe less, depends on the box size I find.

We can talk later about the Amara View once I finally get it and I do a bit of research to try to figure out what my co pay will be. It's Medicare so just a matter of my finding the 2015 allowance for full face masks.
I know it will be at least $34 as that was what my last co pay was for a nasal pillow mask.
Full face masks have a little higher fee allowance.

Save those masks for someone else who really needs them Pugsy because I just got ahold of an Airfit F10 for her for dirt cheap. Thank you so so much for looking at what you have!

I wear a medium cushion generally but when I my nose gets a bit sore I switch to the small and have done so in the middle of the night. I occasionally use lanolin crème and do always hook my P10 hose through a rubber band passed through a button on my pajama shirt - that keeps the mask from being pulled off as I toss and turn. I also use a Ruby style chin strap to keep my yap shut. I've found that the pressure has no problem blasting though my plugged nose and when I wake-up in the morning my nasal passages are as clear as they will ever be all day. Sadly that changes after about five minutes. I can tell a difference in airflow between the small and medium and prefer the of the medium.

PM me if you don't have insurance coverage for a new size large P10 cushion and I'll send one (I only have one). I'll pay shipping. It's new in the original box, not individually wrapped as it didn't come that way.
