Do you still experience this? Or was it just something you got used to? Last night while using the mask I kept feeling like the air was leaking around my nose. But, I kept reaching up and didn't feel anything - I haven't checked sleepyhead yet to see if there really were any leaks. I'm not sure if it's because I'm just so used to the AirFit p10 nasal pillows going in each nostril and air not touching any outside part of my nose?
I just got used to it and it no longer "bugs" me to have that little bit of air blowing on my skin around my nose.
I don't notice it nearly as much now...it was pretty distracting initially.
It's because I have used nasal pillows and not used to air on the skin. I suspect if I had been a nasal cushion user in the past that this "feeling" wouldn't be a feeling at all.
I had a similar sensation when I tried the Swift FX Nano cushion mask but it wasn't quite as noticeable with the Nano. I suspect because the air touching the skin was more diffused over the nose vs just at the nostril area with the DreamWear cradle.
It took me well over a week to quit reaching up multiple times to reseat the cradle because of that "leak" that wasn't a leak. Old habits die hard. Last night (3 week anniversary) I only did it once. I have an interesting leak graph to share once I get around to getting the screen shots and composing.
It's going to show no leak at all at the beginning of the night when I am "feeling that fake leak" and some massive leak at the end of the night which probably was mask movement...and gives some rather unique 95% numbers that is a perfect example of why I don't trust 95/90% numbers.

Yes, I think this is my issue too. I remember when I tried a nasal mask the air kept tickling the bridge of my nose! So, I think the Dreamwear is just going to take some getting used to then. I still like my AirFit P10, but I'm liking the hose attachment at the top of my head on the Dreamwear. I can roll over so much easier now.

I hesitate to write up a full review because I've only been wearing this mask for two nights...but I wanted to say I definitely agree with the air blowing on the nose feeling like a leak. First night I spent a lot of time fiddling with the mask and wasn't sure it was going to work at all for me (almost pulled it off, but managed to make it the whole night). Last night, thanks to reading through this thread and seeing that other people had experienced the same thing, I just ignored that sensation (after a quick double check to make sure I couldn't feel air escaping) and was able to sleep much better.
I also keep my humidifier temp set low...and at one point thought I had a runny nose thanks to the sensation of cold air on one side. Bumped the temp a little, and that seemed to fix it. Loving the mask other wise - I was using a PR ComfortGel Blue before, and hated it. I'm a side sleeper and that one always dug into my face.

When this mask is quiet, it's peerless. After 15 years of wearing nasal pillow masks, I hadn't realized how irritated my nares were and how much uncomfortable discharge that caused. The problem is that I can't figure out where the noise problem lies. It doesn't appear to be affected by the tightness of the straps nor by sleeping position, which makes little sense to me. Someone, somewhere suggested that this mask is very sensitive to facial oil and that one should thoroughly wash the contact areas of the face before sleeping. I'll try that tonight to see if it makes any difference.
Anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps those of you who aren't disturbed by noise have encountered some things which induce it.
I too have been a bit puzzled by the noise, and cannot always figure out how to get it to be quiet. The mask does have an exhalation port where it joins the hose, up on top of the head. Last night, it seemed that by re-positioning the swivel there, I got the mask to stop blowing air at the pillow, so that may have been part of the noise.

I was going to purchase the featherweight hose. I'm use to the flexible hose on the p 10 and would like to have it on my new dreamwear mask. I just chatted with cpap.com and was told that one end of it would fit any cpap hose, but the other is only for the sleepweaver mask. If any one knows this to be false please let me know.

The other end will fit any mask...not just SleepWeaver...the end of the SleepWeaver is no different than any other hose end at the mask.

The SleepWeaver Feather Weight tube does work, it will work as an extension on any standard mask/tube. It has one male end and one female end.
I tried it with my DreamWear. It is lighter, but not as flexible as I'd like (like the ones Respironics puts on the Wisp and others). I tried it for a few nights, but have found that I just don't need it with my setup.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Dreamwear measurements:
I did this the best I could.
Size small headgear is 2 inches total. smaller than the medium. (I measure around the inside of the mask from center top to the tip of the nose cradle attachment on each side)
On small it is 9 and 1/4 inch long on each side
On Med. it is 10 and 1/4 inch long on each side.
There is quite a difference comparing the two. And just holding them up side by side I can see a difference. The small fits me more like the Swift FX Nano for Her.

Final report on the DreamWear experiment...
Last night I went back to my P10 nasal pillow mask...so had 1 night shy of 4 weeks with the DreamWear.
No issues at all with the P10 nasal pillows and the nostrils either last night or this morning.
Final thoughts...the DreamWear is a really nice mask and it almost checks all the boxes on my own personal preferences list.
It didn't knock the P10 out of the number one spot though...for me but for others who might have slightly different preferences it might.
The main box....less on my face and head....the P10 almost nothing headgear is still smaller than the DreamWear frame (which is still what I consider less than other masks) and that is a big item on my list.
The initial "noise" from the vent went away but sometimes when bouncing off the bed covers I would hear it and with the P10 diffused venting that never happens. So I got used to the initial noise but the bouncing off the covers noise would still be noticed. Not a huge problem as it didn't happen often.
It took me about a week to full appreciate the DreamWear with a gradual "liking increase" from first night.
I do think that if I hadn't been a nasal pillow user for over 6 years that the full appreciation would likely have come sooner.
Is the DreamWear for everyone? Of course not...no mask out there is for everyone but I do think it is a really nice mask and suitable for even newbies to try especially if they don't like the sensation of the nasal pillows touching the nostrils.
The frame size of the medium...I might could have used the small but it wasn't something that was a make it or break it deal. I did okay with the medium and the fleece covers supplied with the mask. I could tell right away that it wasn't going to replace the P10 so I saw no need in spending more money just to try the smaller frame. Also I had no problem with the hose placement so I saw no need to purchase the Featherweight hose.
The biggest factor for me personally....I like as little as possible on and around not just my nose but on my face and head. While the overall footprint of the DreamWear is quite small...it isn't as small as the P10 footprint.
I have decided that the DreamWear makes it to number 2 on my mask preference list..slightly edging out the Tap Pap...it's close between those 2 though. I will keep the DreamWear for use just in case something happens and I can't use nasal pillows.
I still haven't managed to get the Respironics Amara View to experiment with. Haven't made it over to the town where my DME is and they didn't mail it like they said they would (big surprise there, huh ) but I will eventually get over there when they are open and pick one up.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I have read through every comment on this thread and want to thank everyone for their valuable input. I ordered a Dream Wear mask based on reviews on this forum. I received it yesterday. I was hoping to get it before the weekend, but alas, I received it on a Monday night. I went ahead and gave it a go last night. I was only able to keep it in for two hours before yanking it out. But my question is this: when I laid on my back (not how I usually fall asleep), I didn't hear myself loudly breathing in and out. I fell asleep for an hour like that and my AHI was lower than it has been with any of the other masks I've tried (I've only been at this a couple of weeks but have hated every mask so far )
When I laid on my sides, I heard this "whoosh" and heard myself loudly breathing in and out. My breathing is already labored - I'm not yet used to breathing with a CPAP and I'm struggling. Is the "whoosh" and breathing I hear because of a leak? From the feedback I'm reading here, it's not a leak and it's normal to hear the noise. Maybe I can block the noise out if can just get used to it. This mask is more tolerable for me than nasal pillows (cannot stand having something touching my nostrils like that) and traditional nasal masks (feel like I'm suffocating).
I have felt worse since starting the CPAP and really want to get to the point where I start to feel better and sleep more, not less. I think this mask can help me and I appreciate your feedback.
Oh, I'm using a medium frame with a small nasal piece. I ordered a small frame today; I'm wondering if that will help with the whooshing air and noisiness when I'm on my side.

I WAS EXCITED TO TRY MY NEW MASK THAT CAME YESTERDAY. FOUND IT CONFORTABLE FOR THE MOST PART. MY EYES ARE SWOLLEN FROM ALL THE
AIR LEAKAGE ALL NIGHT. TRIED SMALL AND MED. BUT THEY BOTH HAD LEAKAGE WHEN I SLEPT ON MY SIDE. IF I SLEPT ON MY BACK IT WAS FINE. I KNOW THAT IT TAKES A LITTLE WHILE TO GET USED TO A NEW MASK AND I AM WILLING TO GIVE IT A COUPLE MORE NIGHTS.. I FOUND THAT THE BACK STRAP KEPT MOVING UP MY HEAD AND MY HAIR KEPT GETTING TANGLED IN IT. HOPE THAT I CAN GET IT TO WORK. I HATE MY OTHER MASK.

Pugsy would you please post a picture with the fleece in place. I don't deal well with plastic on my face and am still loyal to Circadiance but intrigued with this mask. I keep my machine near the floor so not sure how to deal with the hose but could work out something.

This was my original post from a few weeks ago. I had to forgo the Dream Wear temporarily at the time because I needed (so I thought) the small frame, and they were out of stock everywhere. So I waited 2 weeks to receive the small frame, and it was way too small. I need to use a chin strap with any nasal mask, and for some reason the chin strap underneath this frame is material on top of more material (Dream Wear) and so it just doesn't work for me unfortunately. I
I tried the Dream mask several times and although I feel it is more comfortable for me than Airfit P10 pillows, it does leak out laying on my side and using a chin strap with this type of frame and strap makes it very difficult to use. So unfortunately I will most likely be returning back. Too bad because I really thought this was the one for me.

Happy new member of the club, I just got mine. I am currently using the AirFit P10 (new CPAP user of 2 weeks) and am hoping the Dreamwear will work better for me. My initial impressions, by which I mean after 5 minutes of use, are extremely positive.
2. I LOVE not having the hose hanging off my face.
3. I LOVE having something that is "air pillow like" but doesn't stick in my nose.
4. I was amazed by how comfortable it is laying on my side, the tubes caused no discomfort at all.
5. At least for me, so far it IS noisier than the P10, but the sound of air movement is the least bothersome thing of all for me as I'm working to adapt to CPAP, so not an issue for me.
6. Did I say comfort?
7. Didn't seem to be experiencing any mask leak.
8. I know that masks are a very personal issue, that said I can see this mask working for a lot of people who've had issues with other masks, and also think it would be one of the top choices for all newbies as it addresses so many things that are a problem for many people - no big mask, nothing sticking in your nose, nothing hanging off your face.
Once I've slept with it for a few nights I'll report back if these impressions hold true or if I discover any big issues.

Picked mine up today. The sleep centre said i was only the 2nd person to choose it so they asked for feedback. LoL. The 30 min or so i wore it in the centre it felt great, clear field of vision and much less cumbersome. Can't wait to sleep with it tonight!
