I agree! I am new to XPAP but have been using this mask for three weeks. I have not found it to be noisy at all. I did have a bit of a problem with irritation under my nose but I think I had the straps too tight. Once I stopped doing that it has been fine. I did have minor dents on my cheeks but made a cozy and problem was solved. I do get some leaks when sleeping on my side. They are kind of bothersome but I am working on trying to resolve them quickly.

So far I love this mask!

1. It is indeed too noisy for many people, but it depends upon the inspiratory flow and tidal volume.
2. It does move away from the nose for side sleepers who move their heads posteriorly. But this depends upon the fabric friction of the pillow and one's facial skin and strap tightness.
3. Depending on facial structures, it can put too much pressure on the upper lip and teeth

But this is the beauty of having multiple manufacturers and masks.

The mask I use and enjoy I don't have to be nursed or adjusted or have any cloth devises added. It just works fine.

Don't care if this info has been stated before, as we are here to share information and experiences, and not everybody reads every thread nor post.

I agree! I am new to XPAP but have been using this mask for three weeks. I have not found it to be noisy at all. Your observations are almost identical to my own. I won't repeat what I have already posted (as it was extensive) but I would seriously perform a non-paid professional endorsement for the makers of this mask. I LOVE it! And I have not experienced one leak and I am a side sleeper as well...

I got mine the other day, decided M was the right side, and tried it out. Like you, I felt I wasn't getting enough air. On my airfit p10 I went to the large pillows even though the medium fit better, and it makes a big difference in air flow. I was going to try the same thing with the dreamwear, but the slits looked about the same size so I didn't bother trying, but seeing that you had luck with that maybe I'll try it out.

I am still trying out the DreamWear...16 nights I guess it is now.
I loosened things a little and it seems to be doing a little better. I think I had it a bit too tight initially because my brain was thinking the air blowing on my nostrils (as opposed to in them) was leak and it wasn't.

Of course last night the long hose came off the top in the middle of the night and woke everyone in the house up. First time that has happened.
Had a rough night last night but it was because of the mask (other than the loose hose thing).

Oh...side note...the "noise" I initially heard seems to have disappeared. Don't remember when and I don't know why unless I simply tune it out.
It's silent now. The brain is a funny little dude...it does seem to learn to ignore what it gets used to.
Sort of like when I was living in the nurses dorm over the ER...sirens all night but eventually I didn't even hear them.

First time with DreamWear last night. Lay awake for over an hour before I switched back to the Swift FX and went to sleep. Didn't work so well for side-sleeping for me, pretty noisy mask. I've mentioned that I'm a light sleeper, well, this one was just too loud for me last night. Don't think that there were major leaks, but there's a enough noise associated with this mask that I'm not used to that made it a problem. May give it one more try tonight, and see if I can't get it to be quieter. If I can't, then it's going back, since going to sleep isn't something that I can do without *smile*.

It's comfortable enough, but I may need to tighten things up to quiet them down. We'll see. But initially too noisy for this light sleeper *smile*.

I just received my Dream Wear mask today. Initial impression is that the frame, size Med., is too big. I tried tightening the adjustable straps to make up the difference. I wish I had a small frame to compare it to. I think I'm going to need the small frame with the Med nose piece.
It seems like a lot of weight at the top of my head where the hose connects.

My regular mask is a size "for Her" swift FX Nano. If anyone else can compare these two masks for size, I'd be interested to know if you use the For Her FX headgear, what size Dream Wear
frame did you need?

Can't really compare very well the 2 frames because of the adjustments available on the Swift FX frame both at the top and at the back. I have a Swift FX Nano and frame and I think about the best you could do is measure the circumference of the Swift FX silicone on the inside and compare that to the circumference on the inside of the DreamWear frame. If there is much of a difference in the circumference then that might point you to a smaller frame on the DreamWear.

I could measure mine but my "notch" selection on my Swift FX may not be the same "notch" selection as yours.

Did you attach the fleece covers? I found that they added enough bulk that I could get by with the medium.

Did you check out the sizing guide that is in the package? The tubes should rest between your eyes and ears, if they are touching your ears...then you need the smaller size.

Well, I can tell you this- Pad A check needs to start making barrel cozies for this Dream Wear Mask. I forgot how much I hate the feel of silicone against my face.

I added the cheek pads and tightened up the adjustable back strap, more than what it should need, and seem to have a somewhat decent fit. So I'll give it a try tonight.

I tried holding the 2 masks up to compare to each other, but it's like comparing apples to oranges.

I originally got the fit pack and found that I needed the fleece covers to make the medium frame fit. When I got the small frame, I found that it fit well and I don't even notice the silicone against my skin.

I'm actually shocked with this mask. Before trying it I thought the silicone would bother me (I have extremely sensitive skin), I would hate the hose on top of my head, side sleeping would impact my pressure (or at least my experience of it), I wouldn't be able to get a size to fit me correctly, and I wouldn't like the sense of the air rushing along my cheeks. As it turns out, the small frame and cushion fit me well, the silicone is comfortable, I don't notice the air through the frame, side sleeping doesn't affect my pressure, and I absolutely love the hose on top of my head (it's the biggest reason I don't want to go back to another mask).

The small frame is definitely worth the <$30 cost for those of us with small heads/faces.

Glad to hear from another happy user. I think this mask is the cats meow...and when you sleep on one side the air is simply all shifted to the other side without even noticing.

The loud noise from Dreamwear originated from the nasal bridge-slit area, through there were no leaks. The loud turbulence would interfere with sleep.

From where did your Dreamwear mask noise arise ?

Greetings CPAP community! First post. Main mask is Airfit P10. Thought I would try the Dream Wear mask. The Med frame was border line on the small side (size 8 hat size). The head gear will not stay put for me easily slips up after pillow contact breaking seal. I ordered a large frame. It centered better on the top of my head sightly rear. My thought was I could fasten the head gear at a lower angle. Still no success.

I tried Dream Wear mask for the first time last night. Let's start with the noise. I could hear myself inhale and exhale to the point where it was too loud. I think it's because the air tube is laying against the sides of my head, close the the ears. And, I have a fan for white noise that usually drowns everything out, which didn't help. After laying awake listening to my breathing noise for almost 2 hours, I switched back to my Swift FX nasal mask. Instantly, I could tell the difference in quietness.
Comfort- overall comfort of the Dream wear mask against my face was acceptable. (but I only had it on 2 hours). I did notice some movement of the mask when I moved onto my side, Causing leaks, and had to adjust it. It seemed like moving dislodged the nose piece. There is no "wiggle room". The Dream Wear is either in the exact right spot on my face or it leaks. Compared to the Swift FX nasal, which can move around a little, and still keep it's seal.
I'll give the Dream Wear another chance tonight. Hopefully, I can fall asleep with it on despite the Scuba gear noise of inhale/exhale being so loud.

Definitely sounds like you need a small frame. The frame shouldn't be that close to your ears. That may also be the problem with movement.
