Getting a new PR60, need sleepyhead 9.6

Post by nanwilson » Thu Sep 24, 2015 10:34 am

Morning
PR is replacing my 60 series on warranty because of it now being noisy. I am presently using the old build of sleepyhead but with the new machine I would like to try the new 9.6 version. If some kind person could send me 9.6 I would greatly appreciate it... oh .. also need detailed instructions to set it up as I am an old "dumbkoff" when it comes to computers. I am running Win 10 if that helps.
Thanks and cheers
Nan

9.6 is way old version. The newest is 0.9.8-1
Krelvin has some really good hints and links here

Your new computer is probably 64 bit so be sure to get that one.
See how far you get and come back if you get stumped.
You may get a missing dll file message when you first try to run sleepyhead....that's easy to fix if that is the final hurdle.

Thanks a million, I will give it a go once my new machine gets here. I should have gotten it already but they sent the wrong one and the DME had to send it back and request the one with the heated hose. I woke up to a slight burning smell a couple of months ago.... no the humidifier was not dry.. and since then it has been getting louder and louder for the first couple of hours of use, by morning the sound isn't too bad but still there. Good thing it happened now as my warranty runs out in December.
Cheers
