I also use climate line heated hose. I have had a total of 3 new hoses since starting CPAP. I just got a new one in October. No issues with bad smells. The new hose does smell like plastic, but after a few nights of use, the plastic smell goes away. The plastic smell doesn't offend me or smell like something toxic. I get mine directly from my DME. Not sure where they get them from.

I forgot to say that I am in the habit of always cleaning my new equipment before using it. When I get a new mask, water tank, & hose, I wash them in soap & hot water & leave them to dry overnight and use my old equipment for one more night or two before using my new equipment. For those of you having the nasty smell, are you using the hose without cleaning it first?
