I'm coming in fresh on your post. Something Pugsy said hit me. CPAP will never scure sleep apnea if there are other extenuating circumstances. This is mine:

Come to find out my nares are smaller than most, which is probably the reason I have not felt resting at times and then comes the maigrai. I know there have beem places I've I created regarding "collapsed nasal passages". With that situation going on, it will be tuff hitting a perfect score. After some bills are paid, I plan on seeing a sleep apnea specialist. Another Doc gave me some spray that has some steriods in it (you all know the name, I can't remember the exact name), which has partial steriodsl.

Noctuary, until/unless you post some sleepyhead charts no one can really tell what going on and how the settings on your machine are working for you. Without data, people can only guess and assume. If you really want help, then post some graphs.

I can't fathom why you have a problem with Den trying to tell you that. Just try it out - nothing to lose after all as you can always change back. We're trying to help you, you know.
My scripted pressure was 4-20; very wide. I narrowed it (under advice from a respected poster here) to 8-12. Better, but still with more bad days than good. On days like today the brain fog is incredible.
That might be too wide for you still. Or the minimum may not be enough. You really need the data to get better information. you meantioned a dream of drowning. That is usually caused by apnea events. You could be having too many events (or too long events) as well as being disturbed by pressure changes.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Noctuary,

What did you hope to receive from the forum by posting about your situation? Just wondering for various reasons.
