So, this is what it feels like to be rested!

For the first time since I can remember I'm not TIRED all day. This is amazing. I've only been on CPAP for two days but can already tell a huge difference.

The only thing that I'm noticing right now as a negative is a slightly irritated feeling around my nostrils from the nasal pillows. There's no visible skin irritation, so it may just be something that I adjust to with time.

Go to the store (like Walmart) and look for Lansinoh lanolin ointment/cream. Usually found in the baby aisle with the nipples and pacifiers. It's a product used by nursing mom's to help deal with nipple issues when breastfeeding.
Use a lot of it during the day and small dab at night and it will help reduce that nostril irritation until your skin gets used to having the nasal pillows up against the nostrils
It helps heal and prevent soreness and abrasions.
Won't hurt you or your nasal pillows to use it. I used it for a couple of months maybe but after that I didn't seem to need it. YMMV but it will help.
A little pricey for the size of the tube but you only need a little dab and the tube will last a long time.
Don't use too much at bedtime..could cause things to get to slippery and your nasal pillow might end up in your ear...I did that once...thought if a little does a good job then a lot must do a great job.

Great news! You have entered the world of successful cpap treatment. This is how life is suppose to be! You may still run into some issues, but you can work thru them here!

Right away, I learned what it is like to sleep for longer than a few minutes at a time.
Yep, it sure feels wonderful.
