Well, that looks/sounds like "progress" to me. Longer amounts of sleep time and fairly decent event numbers.

Keep up the good work.

I just found out my insurance covers DME 100%. I was previously buying all my stuff on my own. So I asked my doc to write a script for an Airsense 10 apap so maybe I could get a brand new machine. I'm excited.

Make sure your insurance covers APAP, while mine will cover everything, but don't pay extra for APAP. When it comes time for me it get my machine, I will need to come up with $200 to get an APAP.

If you are covered by insurance, the code for CPAP and APAP are the same....E0601. The DME should not be charging you any up charge fo an APAP. Call your insurance company to verify that....Don't just believe what the DME tells you.

I have talking with one of there representative via email and when I when asked about APAP the best I got was the device will "most likely it will be a model that fits your needs and one whose cost fits well with what our standard payment is". I can try to call, but I doubt that will go any better.

What LSAT said is the truth about insurance paying by the code.
However, some DMEs are assholes and do what they damn well please.
What you may need to do is get your doctor to write the prescription for a specific machine and add something like "dispense as written" on it.

So talked to the insurance company and they told me that "it depends". They didn't out right say they don't, but I need to call them after it prescribed to me and see if they will cover the extra for APAP or if I have to pay for it.
