Fine motor skills
I've noticed that my hands h have become clumsier. I mean it's not major or debilitating. But I seem to have sligthly worse coordination. My motor coordination is less accurate so to speak. Than before. Does anybody else experience this? I've read that sleep apnea can cause poorer or degraded fine motor skill function.

Hmmm if I recall you haven't been on CPAP long right? If that is the case then give it at least a few more days, your body might still be adjusting it. If it doesn't stop after like a week you might want to talk to a doctor. Also make sure the venting of your mask is not blocked by a pillow or thick blankets so you aren't rebreathing your CO2.

I haven't began using it yet. I'm detoxifying the mask and hose, and other parts that I can't tolerate because of chemical allergies/chemical smells. Have you gotten your CPAP yet?pettyfan45 wrote:Hmmm if I recall you haven't been on CPAP long right? If that is the case then give it at least a few more days, your body might still be adjusting it. Re: Fine motor skills
If you're having motor skills problems you need to see a neurologist - don't assume it has anything to do with OSA and don't wait around here for 100 opinions, just make an appt. If you've had any TIA's - transient (passing) ischemic attacks - and are unaware of them as many people are unaware, that could be related to not being on Cpap yet and are warning signs of possible larger strokes. Or you could have the beginnings of Parkinson's (is your handwriting getting smaller?). Or a lot of other things... so get seen to.

I believe that UNTREATED sleep apnea can cause poorer or degraded fine motor skill function
