Hi everyone, I have a REMstar Plus w/ humidifier for sale

Hi, I just joined this forum, I have this very nice CPAP machine for sale. Listed it on eBay and it was taken down, so I thought this may be the best place to sell it. I am located in cherry hill, NJ. Looking to sell for $300 plus shipping.

You will receive the following:

REMstar Plus with C-Flex Dom CPAP Machine model no. 1009586
REMstar heated humidifier 1005792
1 Respironics carrying case
2 filter caps (1 already on machine)
2 foam pollen filters

The machine itself runs for $650.
The Respironics REM star Plus with CFLEX and Heated Humidifier is a discontinued model and is referred to by many as the Legacy platform by Respironics.
I have pictures of everything just not sure how to post them here, machine only has 1,612 hours on it and works and looks like new! Please pm or comment if interested, thanks again!

Just so you know, there are a few things going against you. (1) the machine is an older model, (2) a year of average use would produce about 2,500 hours on any machine (so 1,600 hours is not old, but not like new, either), (3) this is NOT a machine that produces any useful detailed data, so most would use it only as a backup or emergency machine, and (4) you won't get anywhere the $300 you're asking for it (here, anyway; maybe you could on a site like Craigslist, but I doubt that, too). But good luck selling it.

That is a very old machine that was discontinued in 2007 and has no value to any of the experienced users here - never mind $300!

Your only option might be craigslist but there are many, many overpriced machines there too that rarely sell for the asking price and just clog up the listings until the owner gives up and deletes the listings.

Maybe you could donate it to a homeless shelter and take the write-off.

First of all, you haven't "joined" the forum......you're posting without a "registered" user name.......which means we couldn't PM you if we wanted to.

Next. Your expectations regarding that machine are WAAAAAAAY out of whack and don't reflect reality.
You'd be lucky to get $10 for it even if YOU paid the shipping.
That machine is non-data-capable.......we call them "bricks" around here.

My suggestion is to keep the machine and use it......or donate it to somebody who can......maybe a relative.
There are many, many fully-data-capable machines available for much less than what you're asking.

Wow, tough crowd!

That asking price is about the same as what Secondwind sells it for - it's not outrageous.

But from a private seller with no warranty and such, I'd expect half of that would be an appropriate price.

Oddly enuff I have also noticed quite a few usernames which were created some time ago and sat idle for many years which it appears are suddenly trying to get enuff posts so they can get a new SPAM Delete button.
Oddly CarpeNoctum is just one of them.
