Re: OT: Recipes
I still use my newer smallish crockpot a lot and your chicken recipe sounds easy and tasty.Stormynights wrote:Today my back was really bad and I knew that real cooking was not going to be an option. I put a couple of potatoes in my crockpot. I scrubbed them good but left the skins on. I salted and peppered 2 chicken quarter and put them on the top. When we were ready to eat I just added sour cream and butter to the potatoes. Yummy We had left over steamed veggies and it was a very easy good meal. I will do this one again often.
When my kids were teenagers they used to joke when I frequently used it - "the old crock is using his old crock pot again". Now that they are adults they often come around and ask for example "What was that great curry chicken/veg crock pot recipe you used to make all the time which was so yummy?". That's great when parents can experience that

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I have an Instant Pot. Electric pressure cooker that also sautes, slow cooks, steams, rice cooker, and some models work as a yogurt maker. I can throw ingredients in (even frozen) and have a hot meal in about an hour. It's awesome!

I know modern ones are safer but ever since my aunt's one blew its top through the ceiling and covered the room in spaghetti sauce I have avoided them.Janknitz wrote:I have an Instant Pot. My mom canned BEEF in her old style Presto.
That old cow became the most tender, delicious school lunches.

My grandma's exploded when I was there so I've always been terrified of pressure cookers. But I am comfortable with this one.
