New user-reading data

Post by Rreffner » Thu Jul 23, 2015 7:41 am

I just downloaded Sleepyhead and went to my machine to remove the SD card. I found no card installed. I called my DME and they said that no card was needed for the techs to read compliance data. Is that true? is there another storage device built into the unit that stores data? I read the user's manual and it says an SD card is needed to capture data. Thanks

Did you see the SD card slot empty?
Or could you not find a SD card slot?
You have a PR S1 BiPap Pro showing in your profile. It does have some storage within the machine so there is still a good bit of data stored and not just compliance.
If you did see the slot and they have removed the SD card that came with it you can go get any generic SD card and insert it in the slot and the machine will write the stored data to that SD card and you can then see the data.
There is one data file that is not stored because of size and that is wave form/flow rate graphs and a SD card has to be in the slot to get that data.

If there is a modem covering the slot then that modem is easily popped off to access the SD slot.

Thanks Pugsy. No Sd card installed. I did find compliance data under info. I want to use Sleepyhead. Do I simply insert an SD card and the data download is automatic or do I have a download procedure to perform? Thanks

No special procedure needed to download to the SD card.
Just insert the card in the slot and watch the screen and it will do its thing automatically. Won't take long depending on how much time you have spent on the machine. When it is done doing its thing you can remove the card and go to your computer with it.

Summary compliance usage is stored on the machine for a year maybe longer.
The detailed data is stored for about a month so if you have used the machine longer than a month you may lose some of the detailed graphs on those older reports but summary usage will still be there.

Just remember the flow rate/waveform graph needs the SD card to be in the machine during the night.
That's the breath by breath graph. Not the end of the world that you don't have it right now.

Thanks everyone. I put the card in the machine and downloaded data. Then I put the card in my Macbook Air 2, opened Sleepyhead and began trying to figure out what it all means. There certainly is much data. Hope it all begins to make sense soon.
