WAterr use

Post by winobu » Fri Jul 17, 2015 8:41 am

I've successfully used a machine for several years. Recently, the tank is still full when I wake up even though I get a good night's sleep. What is going on?

Is it very humid where you live now - more so than it's been in the past?

It would help to know what machine and humidifier you are using. If you say for several years then the system used a few years ago will be a different system from what is used now.
So how many is "several" and what machine?

Water usage with newer machines can vary a lot depending on ambient humidity.
Older systems that didn't have ambient humidity sensors in the machines pretty much would use up the same amount of water every night and if you have an older system and it isn't using water and it should be expected to then there's a problem somewhere with the humidifier or the connection.
Might try running the machine with humidity set to maximum for about 15 minutes and then pull out the water chamber to see if the bottom of the chamber is warm or not. If it isn't warm then most likely the humidifier has died.

If you have recently moved, or if there has been a change in the HVAC in your home,
it could contribute to the change in water use.
Humidity indoors may vary greatly from that outdoors--or not, if it's not working right.

Lots of things can affect that.......relative humidity, machine settings (pressure and humidifier) and a host of other possibilities.
Without any information as to the machine you're using and the settings, it's impossible to figure it out for you.
