She's always struck me as being the type that isn't susceptible to "suck up" tactics.

And, she lives in the "Show Me" state.

Oh ok, (BTW, I'm 6' 4") She mentioned her job on this forum so I assumed she was some sort of authority.
I have zero special powers here and I don't want any.
My "job" that I referred to is my volunteer work here to help people. I get nothing from it except satisfaction when someone who is having a rough time with this therapy is able to sort through their difficulties and have success with their therapy.

I do get irritated and occasionally really pissed off at what some people come up with as facts and they get snarky when it is pointed out that what they present as facts really are incorrect assumptions or opinions or just more old wive tales. You didn't make "pissed off"...just made "mildly irritated". That's why you got the mildly snarky response with a chuckle. You didn't get anywhere near what I am capable of.

What people get when they irritate me or really make me mad...other than maybe a slightly snarky way of saying that I won't ever bother to try to help them..that's pretty much the end of it. I simply make a mental note that this person doesn't appreciate the effort that someone spends explaining something so no sense in my wasting my time in the future with them. If you had just been snarky about me I wouldn't have really cared what you said but your comment about the forum in general pretty much was the real irritation. Diss me if you want to but don't diss the forum because it is made up of a lot of really good people who do want to help people (despite their childish bickering from time to time).

I realize that my personality doesn't mesh well with all people and I probably irritate the hell out of some people just like their personality doesn't mesh well with me and they irritate the hell out of me but unless something is grossly inaccurate or potentially damaging I just try to leave them alone. Opinions are one thing but blatant incorrect facts is another. Most of the time it isn't worth getting into a pissing contest over and getting all upset....and I have been in some of those pissing contests and they always left me upset over what was said and what I said and I lost sleep over it.
Nothing here is worth having that strife in one's life.

So "pissed off" no...just mildly irritated or annoyed at what you said about the forum itself. My first thought was "then why in the hell even bother to come here and participate if you feel that way" and second thought was "that's one person I won't have to spend time on composing a response to a question or a problem" .
So you got a mildly snarky response. Hey, I am human and I have feelings and I am like a mama bear and her cubs when it comes to this forum as whole.

The newbies won't know you are kidding here and will be thinking that you are on my bad list and we both know that is not the case.
You have never even mildly irritated me...never...not even once. You have always been a gentleman and respectful even when we have disagreed about something.
I have nothing but the high respect and regard for you.

Yep, I do live in the "Show Me" state and that sort of goes along with how I tend to view things.
And yep, I am not someone that is easily susceptible to suck up tactics. Too many have suckered me in over the years so I am fairly immune by now.

You and I have had our "differences" over the years but I would like to say that you have always been nothing but a gentleman when differing with my ideas and I hope that you feel the same way about me.
I have always respected your point of view even if it differed from mine because you didn't try to cram it down my throat. My husband will tell everyone that is a good way to really piss off a little redhead and he says it's best not to piss off the redhead.

Good to see you back here again. It will save my fingers from typing your using "try cpap mode" ideas when trying to cover all bases. You can do it. And I can stick to my usual stuff.
