you have to view the image, so you can see the whole thing, there's on central at around 11am.

reduced size below:

the lines above the pie chart show the ahi for the various types of apnea, the purple line says 0.12.

That's it? That little purple thing?

From now on I stay far away from these things - going to scare people for no reason!

yup, that's it, other than that, it would have been an eventless night. and the flow looks pretty even, which is also usually a sign of a smooth night.

I'd be happy to go over some SH pages and explain things, if you'd like

Thank you, but I'd probably drive you to drink... I do look at the 'print-out' results above the chart most of the time, but this one is out of my experience altogether... I did DL SH last year, but never used it as I really don't need to (boringly consistent results with IP Smart codes) and you don't need to test your patience for this (and it would be). Maybe some other time, but thanks again anyhow.

Why does it say "clear airway"? That sounds like a positve thing.

Without posting anymore reports on this thread, let me say that it now seems to be the norm to have my AHIs under 1. The ratio of CAs to OSA's and HA's still varies. Its just last night that happened to go full purple.

because that's what respironics calls a central apnea. different names, same thing.

it's not a good thing, because it's an apnea.

The idea is to have air flowing through your airway.

If your palate collapses and blocks your airway, you have an obstruction that stops the airflow.

If your nervous system doesn't signal to take a breath and you stop breathing, your airway remains open so you have a "clear airway" event.

Even if I do have CAs, the sheer number of them is very small.

I am so sleepy tonight; not fatigued, but "sleepy", and this after 8 hrs of sleep with another AHI less than 0.

How am I going to live the rest of my life like this?

You did say a few days ago that you'd rethink getting 'help', maybe seeing a psychologist, etc... have you given up on the idea? It would be a shame to do that.

I've contacted one but still haven't got a reply.

I just need good meds. Provigil was garbage. Just something to keep me awake. Goddamn job posted overtime again (and told us not to do too much). Yes.

Good score today; I still feel a bit unrested though.

What kind of work does OP do?

He should consider running some overnight pulse oximeter tests. If those are ok, he needs to look elsewhere because it otherwise appears the
therapy is definitely working.

Not exactly; I feel like shit today. That's why I wasn't excited about such a low score; I know from experience that these things are hit and miss.
