I acquired a MacBook (Not Pro) 13" (Mid 2010) from my Daughter when she bought a brand new MacAir. It only had 2gb of ram and was pretty sluggish. I did upgrade it to Yosemite though and then bought some replacement RAM to bump it up to 4GB (almost went to 8GB)

The memory upgrade was very easy and it easily doubled the speed of the MacBook making it pretty usable and certainly a lot less than getting a new/er one.

Are you by any chance getting fooled by those terrible popups that tell you your Mac's no longer supported and you must upgrade?

You can just hit the X in the corner (or the 'no thanks') and they go away... they're trying to sell you something but that stuff about no longer supported is crap! Ignore those things.

Thank you, Pugsy. I'm going to stick with the 9cmH2O and also set up an appointment with my sleep physician. It's funny but I've been erring on the side of thinking my fatigue must be due to something other than sleep apnea. I did start treatment for an iron deficiency but have been taking the iron supplement for several weeks now. That's when I began to look at my sleep as another possible contributing factor.

Hi Julie--I wish it was something as simple as a pop up. Unfortunately, this computer is old enough and has limited RAM that it prevents me from downloading software that is too large my current RAM. It's looking like it's time to buy another one...

Krelvin--thanks for the ideas about memory. I did a little research on apple.com to identify my specific model and, unfortunately, there is no available memory for this model. Figures... Given that my 2nd job is online teaching for a graduate program, I really need a new one anyway. I'll start looking into this.
