Here are my Sleep Test Numbers (Titration)
Re: Here are my Sleep Test Numbers (Titration)
Have you looked at it? Why isn't the bottom part filled out? I realize you may have been given it like that, but for heaven's sake call up and tell them it's no good! You have a right by law to your proper results laid out so they make sense. Do it - they work for you, not the other way around!

Oh come on, this is the best I can do. I don't know why they don't do things. I took so many tests, what else now?
Anyways, tech said that one was a very bad test.

Enchanter, the pictures you sent omit about 1/3 or more of every page. We really need better pictures.
Every lab report I have seen includes a paragraph entitled INTERPRETATION and another entitled DIAGNOSIS and another entitled RECOMMENDATIONS. May we see them please?

Not only don't I believe it's the best you can do, I sure as hell don't believe it's the best they (whoever they are at this point) can do! It's not diagnostic! It can't help you. And you NEED it to proceed. Get your mother to do the call/visit whatever, but it's just not acceptable. I'm not so much mad at you, but them - they are pros, no matter what, and are bound by law to provide you with not only proper treatment but a definitive and USEful explanation of it.
Re: Here are my Sleep Test Numbers (Titration)
Well, folks, it looks from the Pressure Distribution section like a pressure setting of 11 is a reasonable place to start if he stays with fixed pressure. What do you think Krelvin, PR, Morbius? Who agrees? Who disagrees?Enchanter wrote:Papit wrote:Enchanter, we're missing the top half of page 1. Importantly, we're also missing the Pressure Distribution section.

it's best you don't dabble in things you don't understand, that's how people get all confused.Papit wrote:How's this for a first cut estimate?
If Enchanter keyed all this accurately, IPAP = 11 resulted in his lowest AHI.
IPAP = EPAP + PS....... EPAP = IPAP - PS....... EPAP = 11 - PS
So EPAP setting would be 11 - Pressure Support if he used the AUTO mode
on his machine.
PR, what should pressure support be? Maybe 2 to 4?
he doesn't have a bi-level machine, there is no pressure support, and you don't *guess* pressure support without any data.

Re: Here are my Sleep Test Numbers (Titration)
I was looking for your help, PR. I don't know his machine. Ok, so he has no bilevel to use. My post was to get the ball rolling and I laid out my reasoning.
You've seen the Pressure Distribution section now. Do you agree or not that 11 is a reasonable setting to begin with the fixed pressure that his machine does have?

I posted my titration
Technologist Comments: Cpap pressure of 8,9,10,11, and 13 cmh20 were tested. Complex apnea was noted during the titration. Patient does not benefit from any of the CPAP pressure applied. Poor sleep efficiency and CPAP intolerance. Snoring was not noted.
But under snoring it did say Total number of snoring episodes 103, total time snoring 14.7, 17 percent of sleep

Re: Here are my Sleep Test Numbers (Titration)
Patient's split night study failed on 4/25/15. The patient complains of fatigue, daytime somnoience, loud snoring, and disrupted sleep. Patient's medical history include allergies, impotence, mental issues, and depression.
Physical Interpretation: Unsuccessful overnight polysomnogram with markedly low sleep efficiency with the need for a repeat study with sedation
The patient was started on CPAP and titrated to an ending pressure of 11 cm water, however given the poor sleep consolidation, this titration is not valid. There were no abnormalities of the EKG, EEG or EMG noted.
This patient with signs and symptoms consistent with the diagnosis of sleep apnea would benefit from a full overnight polysomnogram with the use of sedation. As such the patient should be sedated approximately 15 to 30 mg of Restoril on the next attempt of his study. He would also benefit from a mask desensitization prior to the study. It would be best if the patient was dropped off and picked up in light of the usage of sedation for the overnight polysomnogram titration of CPAP.
CPAP pressure of 8,9, 10, 11, and 12 cmh20 were tested. Complex apnea was noted during titration. Patient does not benefit from any of the CPAP pressure applied. Poor sleep efficiency and poor tolerance. Snoring was not noted. ResMED F 10 full face mask large size was used and a heated humidifier was utilized during the titration.

Enchanter,
Use a black marker pen to omit personal information such as name, birthdate, facility, doctor.
Then you need to provide an exact copy through scanning the whole page or taking a picture of the whole page.
You need to provide a copy of each page of the document.
Your interpretation of what is needed is not what is wanted, let the experts see everything and let them decide what is pertinent.
