Best CPAP machine for camping?

Post by hosehead007 » Wed Jun 17, 2015 9:56 am

Hi all,
I've been reading through some of the camping threads and the PowerAdd Pilot Pro seems to be a well regarded battery for camping. But what about the best machine? I will be kayak camping, not car camping, so I need something smallish. I've looked at the Transcend a bit but I'm not overly familiar with it. I currently have a ResMed S9 which I feel would be too big and bulky to travel with and also I not want to risk breaking my "main" machine.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Hello HH,
maybe try your hometown craigs list for a cheaper way to go camping with a cpap, like u said save your S9 for home or travel. I have found several cpap machines on CL and even bought my last APAP off there. Can find some good deals, some good deals on this forum also...just a thought...good luck in finding something to suit your need...happy camping.

Number one concern. 12 volt power..... Using 12 volts, is the most sufficient method of power. No conversion loss.

Maybe a lightly used one that meets your needs, that way if its damage you will have less loss. If you just require it, a passover humidifier. (Uses no power)

Power supplies will depend on how you plan on using it. Jim
