I have used the Wisp successfully and I always sleep on my side or stomach. I use a foam pillow and have learned how to adjust my head and mask to maintain a bit of pressure on the mask.
I also like the Sleepwear Elan. I have used all of the Sleepwear masks and the Elan with the swivel hose connection is the only one I will use now. It is my current favorite and being all cloth does not dig in even when I bury half of it in the pillow.
The other mask I liked was the no mask. It had a mouthpiece and pillows and no head gear. The current Tappan is basically an updated competitor that some folks seem to like, but I can't tolerate pillows in my nose.
Keep up the search, I have over a dozen masks in my collection and I like 2 1/2 of them.

"Tappan"? Auto(in)correct strikes again! Tap Pap, right?

TapPap is correct. Can you please teach my phone to tell the difference between misspelled words and unusual words that I spelled correctly.

Sorry, my ipad is also a renegade. It tries to trick me into deleting random posts.
BAD PAD!

Hi & Welcome!
We all know how hard it is to find the right mask. If your problem with the nasal pillows is that the pillows slide around some in your nostrils while you move from side to side, try a tiny bit of Lansinoh inside each nostril. It is a bit tacky and can help to keep the nasal pillows in place, as well as heal any irritation inside your nose. I use a Swift Fx nasal pillow mask most of the time (sometimes I use a different nasal pillow mask), and I am definitely a side-sleeper. I don't use the Lansinoh every night now that I am used to the nasal pillows, but simply getting used to a mask of any type and the fact you are attached to a machine with a hose while sleeping is a little bit hard to get used to, but you must get used to it for your health. Lansinoh is sold OTC in the grocery or drug store where the baby care items are sold, or ask your pharmacist. It is pure lanolin ointment & is used by nursing mothers for cracked nipples, but we "pappers" have found it is excellent to use for inside nasal irritation or sores, and also to keep the mask kind of "anchored" to where it is supposed to stay long enough to get you used to using CPAP. If you haven't already tried a Swift FX nasal pillow mask with a little teeny bit of Lansinoh in each nostril, it is worth a try.
I hope you get used to it soon, CPAP can help to make you more healthy because we all need restorative sleep, and when your body is hungering for oxygen every time you sleep without CPAP, your vital organs are hypoxic, leading to eventual hypertension, heart disease, and circulatory problems. I don't want to wear a diaper and be unable to move one side of my body, or not be able to talk or swallow after I have a stroke so I use my CPAP religiously. About 4 months after starting on CPAP, I was able to discontinue my high blood pressure pill, and my blood pressure is normal now without any medicine. Good luck to you, if you have a problem, I'm willing to bet one of us has already solved it, because this is a forum for help. There are some members who are a little gruff in their responses, but just ignore them. You will feel so much better after using CPAPA awhile, it is worth it to go thru the "initiation" period.
