Newer Airsense software version - climate control change

Post by TangledHose » Tue Jun 09, 2015 10:49 am

It would appear that some of the newest Airsense machines are shipping with a newer version of software for the machine. One small change in functionality is in the Auto Climate control menu when using the ClimateLineAir hose. The newer version now works similarly to the S9 where you can run in auto mode, but still have the ability to change the hose temp in auto without having to go to manual in order to change the hose temp.

I got my machine back in September as well as some others like ChunkyFrog and we were noting that the only way to change hose temp on the early machines was to switch over to manual mode. Now with the newest version of the Airsense machines this has changed.

The newer machine software version reported with this change is: SW SX567-0302

My older machine software version is: SX567-0205

Not a big deal, but I thought I would just post this information to add to the knowledge base on the new Airsense machines.

That's kind of cool. they kind of went backwards on that ability with the new models.. nice to see them "fix" it. A pro for the firmware update feature.

Yeah, I agree with you, i much preferred the way the S9 climate control worked.

On a side note........I have not heard anyone with the older machine software version, like me, getting an over-the-air update to the new machine software. I have been leaving my wireless on to see if I get anything, but nothing as yet and I have a suspicion that I won't get this newer machine software. I will report on this if anything comes down........at this point it seems that it is just newer software on the machines when shipped from ResMed. I have no clue what their protocol is that would determine if, or when a new update would come out over-the-air......probably a closely guarded bit of company information!

You most likely have not been using the Dollar bill insert slot on a daily basis to get the updates.

I have not been using the slot.......but ResMed certainly has gotten a lot of my hard earned dollars over the years!
