Yes..with the heated hose you can set the air temp to one thing and the humidity to a different thing and you can alter either one independently of the other.
The air can be a lot warmer...or it can be just a little warmer than room air temp depending on personal preference.

Palerider says I like swamp air... I really don't like warm muggy humid air but my nasal mucosa do need a lot of moisture. I know it sounds like it is counter productive but a heated hose actually lets me have both the humidity my nose needs and the hose air temp really isn't all that warm.
Like right now if I was using my ResMed machine I would be maxing the humidity but the hose air temp would be set to probably 70 degrees which to me doesn't feel all that "warm".

Thanks I am going to check the price for the heating tubing on CPAP.com and then with the my DME to see if insurance pays for it and give it a try! I know if my mouth stays moist I will do a much better job of not taking it off in my sleep!
