It could compete with Provent and Theravent

Looks like its just a copy of some old technology....

But I don't even understand how that is going to stay in your nose at a high pressure when you breathe out.

Or even at low pressure. Maybe it glues to the nostrils like the Provent? That could require it to be disposable.

There once was a feminine pad that "stuck" to the lady parts. Kind of like a bandage...Horrible!

I could see this as doable. The battery could be one of those lithium ones that are rechargeable. Add replaceable pillows and you are set. Keep in mind that perhaps it would be restricted to say pressures under 10 or 12. But I do see it as very limited use for say travelers since even rechargeable, the cost would be high. But then that price didn't stop folks from buying throw away cameras, even at $35 a pop.

Think of all the people who could sleep walk again! No hoses to hold them down.

what about the noise and the vibration from those micro air blowers inside the device vibrating at 1000 times a second, Is it above human awareness?

I have always thought that my "perfect" mask would be nasal pillows that stuck in my nose with nothing else to wear...sigh...I can dream. I have even sort of taken a sideways look at some way to attache the nasal pillows to my nose and not need head gear or the mouth guard or anything else.

Now someone has take my dream one step further and stuck a blower of some sort in it. Is something like this what our children's children will be seeing as routine? Who knows. I just know that in my lifetime I have seen things that I would have never dreamed of.
Remember when 4 MB RAM on a computer was a HUGE investment and a Gigabyte hard drive was so far out there it was for super computers and not for us peopons? And now my new cell phone has 32 GB and more RAM than I would have ever thought possible back in the early 90's when Windows was just a sparkle in Gates eyes and I was doing everything by DOS commands.
In a teeny tiny cell phone...Still sort of amazes me the leaps and bounds I have seen in just the past 20 to 30 years.

Some new ideas that people come up with now may be run of the mill routine in the years to come. Some new ideas will fail. It's the progression of technology and there will always be progression.
Is this little gadget something that will find a market share and work?...that remains to be seen but I for one think it is cool that someone is even thinking of something like this.

According to the Apatani women, the nose plugs were a way of protecting the women in the tribe. The women known to be beautiful and were constantly kidnapped from neighboring tribes. The nose plugs were a way to make the women less attractive to the other tribes.

By wearing the nose plugs and tattooing their faces (with a horizontal line down the face and 5 lines on the chin), the women were deemed less attractive.

if it is controlled by your phone ... then it is Bluetooth so the reports will be downloaded .

I know what you mean though. The first computer I ever worked on took up an entire room and spit out punch cards. That was freshman year of high school and I still recall how excited my teacher was that we got a computer! I remember when the husband and I decided to buy a computer and paid over $2500 for a 3.1 version. There wasn't even an internet in our area yet! We could chat with neighbors and that's about it for a few months. I typed up my life story and practiced printing it. I thought this was going to be the most boring thing we ever bought!
