Cave Camping!

Post by Goofproof » Wed Jun 28, 2006 7:04 pm

I'm going Cave Camping, My New REMstar APAP came in this evening, The Sleep Fairy reset the Controls, for AFLEX, C-flex 2, 12 CM to 16 CM Ramp O.

It came 4 to 20 Cm, I think a DME might have packed it, so we washed it extra good. It's all hooked up in my Cave with fresh distilled water waiting to blow me to sleep. Oh!, Btw it's that nasty old huge heavy one, and I carried it to my Cave with one hand. I't doesn't look bad setting besides the Pro 2. I could have in Stereo air, if I had a adaptor. Jim

AS Scotty, in Star Trek said, " There be whales here., Captain." That's how I felt when I looked out the front door, UPS didn't even knock.

Congrats Jim on your new machine! I love mine! Its funny I have no desire to run out and get the NEW M series, just because there is a new model available. I have always been the type "if it aint broke, don't fix it".

Hopefully you can tweak your numbers even better and feel even better. Keep us posted!

Suzy

And the extra $166 in my back pocket makes me stand straighter.

Thanks, CPAP.COM for the timely service, couldn't have been better, I waited three time that long for Old Brick & Mortar, to get me my old one. Jim

OK, Jim......I'm waiting to hear how the "Cave Camping" went with your new machine.

If you get tired of the whales, I'll be glad to send you some grizzly bears, wolves and mountain lions to keep you company in your cave. (we've got plenty to spare out here)

Hope everything went well.

I know one nights data , success doesn't make, but. Last night wasn't good, to many things on my mind, we all have nights when the world just won't go away.

I got my new APAP, with the idea that it couldn't do much more than my old Pro 2 did, after all everything was looking good, except me when I looked in a mirror.

I took about 3 hours of in-out sleep before I finally settled down to the sleep of the dead. The pressure on starting the APAP was lower 12 cm, so I loosened my straps on the F&P 431, I had had them too tight, the headrest was starting to work it's way into my brain, much better, still no leaks. I also decided since the APAP listens for noise, I would turn down my background noise. (Nature Sounds on MP3), so they wouldn't be detected as Snores.

It appeared it was going to be one of those nights, I was supprised by my numbers today, although It's only one night.

Hours 7:24, I was forced to get up early and check Mother-in-Hells Blood Sugar

90% RATE 14.6, AVG 13.5, NR 0.0, FL 1.2, OA 0.0, H 0.0, Snore 3.1, AHI 0.0, LEAK 38.83, BTW: The Leak Rate was 41 to 49 at 15.5 CM Before

I never expected that, I was shocked when I read the card, no doubt some or most of the Snores, are the hose draging on the headboard, I was tossing and turning a lot, I need to cover the hose so it doesn't make noise. It sounds like a two man buck saw, working on the headboard.

I just figured, that I'll have a backup machine and I can check with it from time to time, and use the Pro 2, as the workhorse, That's not the way it's going to be, this Baby has earned it's place in my bed. It's the new Queen of the Bedroom. Jim

So what you're saying basically is that your new machine blow more better than you other one. That would earn a place in my bed as well.

Dang you Jim,

I have been thinking that I wanted an auto but had just about decided that my Pro 2 was doing a good enough job, and now you come along with numbers like that and I have to wonder again.

Keep us posted, if the numbers continue like that I will have to loosen up the wallet and buy one too.

It doesn't want to talk after you are done with it!

AND, It's got this little button one the top to press, and you won't hear a peep out of it until the next night! I wish I could Get Extra Buttions that would do that for other THINGS, around the house! Jim

Jim:

Congrats! When you first posted you were getting an AUTO I said to myself "once he tries that machine - IT'S ALL OVER - the machine will never leave the nightstand! Glad it worked out that way. BTW you have ONE of the best autos out there IMO and the encore pro is very user friendly!

Always enjoy your informative, interesting and common-sense posts!

All the best & continued SUCCESS!

Now I have to redesign my spreadsheet to reflect Auto's. I always have to tinker with something, beats working. Jim

I would cost less than a good Colt 45, but if you were using shell money, it would be a good pile of rounds. Jim

Wow Jim great numbers! I am happy for you! Hope you keep having good luck with the new APAP.

I am still using my trial APAP since the DME hasn't called for it yet and the doc hasn't gotten back to me. My numbers have been a lot better than when I was on my Pro 2 but no where near your first night. What a start to a honeymoon Remember that the honeymoon will end, just keep those numbers as low as you can!

Dale
