s9 humidifier ticking

Post by john11428 » Wed Apr 29, 2015 4:45 am

when connecting the humidifier it has came up with a fault regarding the power pack main unit checked and ok so the ticking is coming from the humidifier rendering it useless when connected to main unit It works without the humidifier

any ideas as it has been working fine until now

Can you take it to where you got it (both machine and humidifier) so that you can
1..try the blower with a new humidifier
2..try that humidifier with a different blower

At this point there's no way to know if the fault is in the circuit in the blower or the fault is in the humidifier and while you could just buy another humidifier to check it out ...you might end up with 2 humidifiers and the problem be in the blower circuitry somehow.

i am using it without the humidifier and it works ok so the problem is as soon as i connect the humidifier
i have sent the unit back but they say that the humidifier would be unrepairable so i will persist without the humidifier for the time being
and maybe invest in a new s10 unit in the near future

just wondered if anyone has already had this problem as res med say they have not

you can probably pick up a spare humidifier at secondwindcpap for less $$$

Do what Pugsy said. The problem could still be in either module.
