water chamber question

for some reason my home provider gave me a used water chamber last week and I took it back to them and said that it was used and the reason for that is they told me that the manufacturer does not make my water chamber anymore but there are other machines out there that use the same water chamber as my bipap machine does like the respironics 60 series bipap machine so why would my home care provider tell me that they cant get a new water chamber for me anymore my bipap is a 50 series machine not 60 series the machine I am using is a respironics auto Advanced SV bipap machine and I got it back in 2011 so my bipap is an older machine my REF No is 950P

Was the humidifier tank for your 60 series Bi-PAP machine? Or, do you have an OLDER machine for the tank you were looking for? I was a little unclear on some of those points.

However, you need to consider with WHOM you were having this discussion.

Your DME is lying scum. Respironics sells tanks even for the 10 year old "legacy" CPAP machines.

However, is your machine a 50 series or 60 series machine? The 60 series uses a different tank.

Take out the water tank, and look on the bottom of the blower for a number like REF 950P. Tell us what that number is.

Most of the online suppliers now sell a "universal" PRS1 tank that comes with two tops, one for 50 series and one for 60 series.

50/60 series tanks use same tank, but the lid is different. Both are currently available.
