I’ve been on XPAP for over a year and I still can’t get more than 6 hours. I take two naps per day. I’m an insomniac too. I switched to bipap in hope of getting more sleep…it worked. I was getting only 5 hours of sleep now I often get a little over 6. Still tired and want more. XPAP obviously doesn’t solve everything. My wife and ND tell me that I need more time to fix my brain. It thinks that 6 hours is enough! How many hours are you getting? I still feel tired and the only real benefit I've found from using my APAP is I don't have to visit the loo so often at night. I was hoping I could work out these problems, and not come here and whinge about them (my stubbornness coming through). I haven't seen my respiratory specialist in a year, so I will go back and see him soon. I'm a bit afraid that if I complain I'm still tired that my drivers license maybe suspended and I would be truly stuffed as I have to drive 50mins to work and there is no public transport here what so ever.

I'm currently fighting the open mouth, mask leaks vs. chinstrap no leaks, higher AHI. Have you tried adjusting your pressure a little to cut leaks? I noticed more as I raised my pressure, but I feel better, so I keep trying to find a balance.

Hi Pesser, I get about 6-8 hours a night depends on how much the brain races around. I don't take naps during day as I'm worried I'll then not be able to sleep at night. If I do nap its not for long and I usually feel worse than I did before, by naps I mean, I was so exhausted I couldn't keep my eyes open.Pesser wrote:

I suspect that I've had apena for at least 10 years, probably longer. So I've got a lot of catch up to do.
