AMESS, stop the complaining at every change you "think" will be a problem. There are many member couples here that are dual cpap users and I have never heard any of them complain about it. Its nice to know that both are getting the therapy that they need and can help each other out with their therapy. Your hubby just got diagnosed and you are already sure it will interfere with YOUR therapy. (not a loving or nurturing attitude )

My wife and I both are on bi-level machines. We have the same model machines, and happen to use the same face mask. My AHI normally stays right around 1, and hers has finally settled down and stays under 2. I had a fairly easy time adapting to the treatment. My wife, on the other hand, has had a rough time getting hers under control. It hasn't been a problem with the equipment. She kept having too many centrals. They have been adjusting her pressure slowly in an attempt to control the centrals. Up until the final change this month, they were still talking about possibly going to an ASV. Her IPAP pressure was going pretty high (20 cm) which would trigger the centrals. The last adjustment, the brought the minimum EPAP from 8 to12. As soon as they, every thing settled down. The machine was no longer chasing flow limits and taking the IPAP higher. Now, her IPAP stays under 18 and the centrals have been running less than one per hour.

And stop posting 2 and 3 identical notes! Check first to see that the first one has shown up, and only if it hasn't then post again.

For the noise, I've always slept with a sound machine (or using an app on my phone) to produce pink noise (scientific studies have shown pink noise to be good for sleep). I'm not sure my wife even hears my machine. Placing a pillow between the two of you on its side should help block the air.
