Air leaks so badly and flows over the eye anyway. cpap definitely a problem with DCR as the surgery make a small hole near duct in nostril. Air rushes through there to eye. Eye very sore and red. Will go back to mouth/nose mask. Nose tubes are even worse as pressure is so great on duct. Yet I am hopeful!
You mention a "full face" mask. The recommended mask is a TOTAL face mask.

Seems selfish. Just bookmark it for your future reference.

Hoping to get more responses, Granny, bookmarking won't help that.

Well, now you have two more responses.

Would swimmers goggles seal the eyes off and prevent the leeks? or would they interfere or put pressure on the tubes?

I don't think so, but thanks for the idea.

Swimmers googles aren't really intended to keep pressure in. I sort of doubt they'd work for this application. You'd also have to leak enough air through the nasolacrimal duct to "inflate" the googles before the leaks would stop.

Correct goggles are not designed to keep hi pressures in. With the low cm pressure settings we use with cpap and a normal eye configuration they would definitely hold. I was questioning if the tubes would interfere with the normal seal? After DCR surgery can you use goggles to go swimming? if they would still seal with the tube inside and keep the water out they would hold the minimal pressure we use in.

My wife had this surgery, and is struggling trying to use the full face mask, it isn't working so well. I was thinking about buying one of the nose filters that is offered on the internet, and just using the filter on the side that had the surgery, to see if it would block the air enough, that it wouldn't shoot straight up to the eye, so she could use her nasal mask again, any thoughs on this idea.

An interesting case. I wonder what's going on?
