Post by PMA » Sun Mar 15, 2015 6:27 pm

HELP! Just returned from trip & CPAP worked normal ... got home ... set it up - added distilled water and it is now bubbling ... seems to be sucking air ... could it be broken??? Any advice on fixing this myself? Any advice appreciated! Thank you!

I'd recommend that you turn off the machine, open the lid to pull out the reservoir and open the reservoir then reverse everything carefully to make sure that it's assembled correctly.

The reservoir has pressurized air applied to it--there's no real way for it to be sucking air, but it might be leaking nonetheless.

Where are you seeing bubbles?

Did you perhaps overfill it?

Thanks for your suggestion! I've fiddled with it and it seems to have quieted down. The water in the tank was bubbling. I think I am good for now - at least I hope so! Appreciate your response!

The humidifier is designed with a dry box that prevents water from backing into the blower. If water somehow got into that dry box during transport, it might produce a bubbling sound for a while. Check all seals and with the water chamber out, and disconnected from the blower, turn it upside down.

What do you mean by "bubbling?"

Blowing water into the hose? The water tank is probably too full.

Noises? Water in the hose. Drain it out.

Visible bubbles in the tank?
