Sleepyhead icon

Post by cherylann » Fri Mar 13, 2015 10:53 pm

I finally got this software downloaded and working, but it did not place an icon on my desktop. How do I do that? It's not even in m programs list. If I want to use it, I have to search for it.

thanks.

If you are using Windows, right-click on the file you normally use to start SH. Choose "create a shortcut". Then you can drag that icon to your desktop. I think another option is to create a shortcut to desktop. I'm on my phone, and doing this from memory.

An expert will be along. Good luck, Earl

That is because Sleepyhead is not installed on your computer, it is unarchived to a folder. There is no installation program for it.

So it will not have an icon on the desktop and will not show up in your program installed list.

Like poppi2 said, you can make an icon on your desktop by creating a shortcut.

Thanks, all. I'll try that.

But now, I've got a bigger problem. After downloading my data, I put the card back in the machine and it says "invalid card, please remove". What happened?

Not having any idea what machine you have since you have not added your equipment to your profile
... and not knowing if you are using something like Win8 or Win8.1,
... or knowing if you write protected the card before putting it into your computer
... or if you unlocked it before you put it into your CPAP machine.

Hard to guess what the issue might be..

I am betting that the SD card was not write protected and the computer is Windows 8.xxx or a Mac (maybe) and that is why the S9 is rejecting the SD card.
Windows 8.xx and some Macs seem to add a little file to the SD card and when this happens the S9 doesn't like it.
Not much you can do at this point except let the S9 erase the card and start fresh. It will put the summary data back on the card when you do this and the detailed data is in the software anyway.
For subsequent SleepyHead downloads you will need to remember to slide the write protect lock on the SD card before you insert the SD card into your computer and unlock it before you put it back in your S9.

If you want to use the SleepyHead icon with this testing SH version and you don't already have the sheep icon you can download it separately and then go find the file and use it as icons. Just have to go through the "change the icon" steps.
I have it available here

Just making a short cut will use the default icon that is already there. You don't need to download the ico.

Thanks, Pugsy. I'll do that. I am using Windows 8.
