Clicking in Airsense / Aircurve 10?
Clicking in Airsense / Aircurve 10?
Does anyone notice a clicking occassionally with the airsense/ aircurve 10? I have the Aircurve 10 ASV and a few nights this week I have awoken to a clicking. It is two distinct clicks on either exhale or inhale, I forgot which (although I think it is inhale). When I touch the humidifier chamber, it seems to stop it. I am wondering if the inhale causes pressure in the chamber to cause the lid to move and cause the clicking since the lid snaps in gives a few millimeters when you squeeze it.

make sure you don't have water in the hose when this happens.Guest wrote:Does anyone notice a clicking occassionally with the airsense/ aircurve 10? I haven't noticed that at all. Sorry to hear you are experiencing it. Like Palerider mentioned, I had a clicking type noise in my hose from rain out before I switched to a heated hose. I hope you get to the root of it quickly. Like a ticking clock, once you hear it , it is hard to ignore.

Hello O.P. To solve your clicking problem real easy, try replacing your water chamber. Preferably with the "cleanable" model.
I had that exact clicking problem when I first got the Airsense10. Turns out it was indeed caused by the water chamber (standard Al model) expanding/contracting with each breath under the varying air pressure (I also use EPR at max). My supplier suggested I switch to the "cleanable" chamber (SS) which he supplied at no additional cost. That eliminated the clicking noise. With the new chamber, I just get a click or two at blower startup (no ramp) then all is quiet. I have not tested it but suspect that those initial few clicks would disappear if I would set a start-up ramp to smooth the initial inrush of air. Just speculating but it probably has to do with the give of the lid/gasket on the water chamber design. That said, after carefully examining both chamber models, I can't see any difference between them that would make the cleanable silent vs the non cleanable. The only difference I found was that the ridged thumb grab on the water chamber that clicks had a bit of play which the other did not.

You could try wedging a little wad of tissue between the chamber and the edge of the case.
Clean tissue, of course.
Maybe check if the silicone fitting inside and the tank gasket are correctly positioned.

Thank you. Did you try multiple disposable chambers, or did they switch you right away? I only notice it every couple of nights and don't have a supply order coming in until April.SgtWilko wrote:Hello OP To solve your clicking problem real easy, try replacing your water chamber. My supplier seemed to have seen that issue before and switched me immediately to the cleanable model.

Re: Clicking in Airsense / Aircurve 10?
I bought my first Airsense 10 a month ago and had significant and in fact loud clicking and got a new one to replace this one. I have the heated tubing and humidifier. All settings are automatic or in the midrange. The new one does the same clicking thing. Quite disappointing and not sure of what the cause and remedy is thus far.
