Smart Computer People please HELP with SLEEPYHEAD

Post by footballgirl13 » Sat Feb 21, 2015 9:21 pm

I am trying to use Sleepyhead Software. I downloaded the 7 Zip files. I know where those files are.

I downloaded the Sleepyhead software. Finally, I found this file . . . located in my downloads folder: "Sleepyhead testing bla bla bla".

So this is where I'm lost.

I don't know what to DO with the sleepyhead file. DO I go to the Sleepyhead file and right click on 7 zip? If I do that, it takes me to a drop down box. I could click on EXTRACT or I could click on OPEN ARCHIVE. If I click on OPEN Archive, I open up another box that says Add, Extract, Copy, Move, Delete at the top. Is THIS what I need? And if YES, that is what I need . . .

then how do I use it once I put in my data card into my computer?
I'm going to put my data card in my computer come Tuesday.

I've never used Sleepyhead software before. I just want to be able to use it when I need it and I want to know how to open the god darn thing up.

And please - don't ask me if there are Children running around outside that I can ask to come into my house and help me with this. I think that is unethical to ask someone else's children to come into my mom's home and since I don't know any children where I live - I don't know children closely - I'm not going to ask some child that I don't know to come into our house. This is not the type of neighborhood that you ask strangers to come into your hoe. You just don't do that. Some other member asked me if there were children outside playing that I could ask for help. I hope this person never asks me that question again.

Someone help me please. THis is NOT EASY if you don't know computers. I Just need someone good with computers and software to help me and direct me with this software. If you know computers/software, this should be easy

You already have a post going on Sleepyhead...You should continue posting your questions there instead of starting a new post.

In the other thread you have I gave you a way to get SleepyHead without having to use the 7 zip thing as it is confusing to some people. Have you read what I wrote?

I got 2 links.
http://sleepfiles.com/SH/index.html?TestingVersions

https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepy ... erediditgo

http://sleepfiles.com/SH/index.html?TestingVersions (oh this is the same as the first one)

Both were confusing to me. Not every clear at all. I like things to say "Click here to download".

I didn't go back on other thread due to the "ask the children in your area" comment. I thought that comment was absurd, so I started a new thread.

You might go look at what I wrote. I tried to simplify it for you.
I could try to explain further but I would need to know where you are lost at and are you trying to follow my directions or someone else's.

In the unzipped folder there is a main SleepyHead folder and it has to be unzipped for you to get in there...click on the main folder and you will see a list of files...scroll down to the bottom for the files that launch SH.
I circled them here.

"Find a kid to help" is standard procedure. It's what I tell my dad. That, or "have Geek Squad check it out." But kids are cheaper. And it's not really rude to suggest it. Kids are WEANED on computers these days. If you depend on things to be simplified to "click HERE" before trying anything, how will you learn? sometimes it helps to read a sentence, then let it sink in. I do this regularly, or my brain goes on strike.

I commend the posters that have tried to help footballgirl13. I would not have been so patient.

This is a person that clearly wants everything handed to them on a silver platter. How about you grow a backbone and friggin read the advice given? Heaven forbid you might actually have learn something!

Computers these days are the most user friendly they have ever been, heck I remember the good old days of MS-DOS no windows or icons to click on there.

Btw footballgirl, don't bother replying to me if you are just going say I'm full of hate. This isn't hate, its called critism. You come across as an ungrateful little snot who hasn't gotten the right flavoured lollipop

You and tattooed lady are too funny. I don't actually drink alcohol, I take medication that warns you about 5 times on the leaflet to avoid alcohol.

Maybe thats my problem?

that sounds like you should surround yourself with more perceptive individuals, that can recognize more of your finer qualities!
