I think I'm giving up. I can't see to get the help I need and I have done all I could. I installed this sleepyhead twice. I shouldn't have to install it for the rd time.

Why does this have to be so damn confusing and complicated? Why can't they make things to open up very easy instead of having to install and then extract files. So many steps just to use software. What's the freaking point of using the software if you can't get to it ?

What a waste of my time. I guess that is what I get using free stuff. It is too complicated. Forget it. I'll never know if my BiPap is doing any good. I'm so done with this stupid sleepyhead stuff. I will not post about this topic every again. I may not come back to this website either. Not sure to any users - just due to me being pissed off with this stupid sleepyhead crap. If it ain't easy I will not use it and if it is not easy I will not spend 5 hours trying to figure it out. This is why we have computer people to do this stuff. They need to make it EASY.

If you would read what I read in this thread I pointed you to where to get the missing file and told you which one to get and what to do.

This can be confusing for some people though. How about we let you use Encore Basic instead? It's a little easier to get installed.
EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

Enough. ENough. ENOUGH!!! Look, you asked a question, and got SEVERAL FORUM MEMBERS (INCLUDING PR) trying like hell to help you figure out your computer woes. And then when they didn't hand you the frigging Staples EZ BUTTON, you got mad, and whined how no one was HELPING you! If you're so computer challenged that you can't follow PUGSY's attempts to simplify things, you REALLY need to find someone IN PERSON to help you! Apparently, you don't take direction well. I asked for help when trying to get SH up and running, but my GOD, I didn't insult the folks who were trying to dumb things down for me!

And to try to guilt people, saying you won't use anything if it's not easy...honey, LIFE ain't easy.

I need a drink.

Hope it is a good stiff drink. So you say I insult others that try to help me? But you cope with me (and I'm online no less) and your coping tool is - drinking? You need a drink. And I'm online. Is not this calling the kettle black? I was more frustrated with the software not working/not extracting right/not installing right and much less frustrated with what anyone posted. I don't need a drink. I'm going to bed.

My coping tool is telling you that you INSULTED people who were helping you. Actually, I DON'T drink, but damn, if I did, I'd have tied one on by now with all the back and forth DRIVEL.
Follow directions or don't. But holy crap...yeah, not much else to be said, as things might not be easy enough to slog through.

In the useful links in my signature line mentioned above, there's a help on downloading and installing SleepyHead.

http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... Head_Notes

It lists

"DLL Errors

If you get a message something like "MSVCR120.dll is missing," you need to install the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package." http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=40784

Explanation: A file needed by the SleepyHead program was left out by accident for some versions. The Microsoft package above installs this DLL on your Windows computer.

It may not always be "MSVCR120.dll", but it will be something similar starting with "MSV" and ending with ".dll"."

I feel kind of bad for resurrecting this topic, but I just want it to be clear that I've actually done all of the things suggested here. I was able to download the latest testing version of SleepyHead (and the earlier version), opened the compressed file, found the EXE file, got a .dll error message, downloaded the C++ package, and now I realize that my .dll error is not the MSV one - my .dll error message says "The program can't start because Qt5Core.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

I'm not even close to a computer whiz... but I understand the basics, and even have a neighborhood child on standby in case she's needed (I'm totally kidding, she's my kid and she says she doesn't have a clue what the Qt5Core.dll is) - but I'm not sure if the program I'm supposed to 'reinstall' is the Sleepyhead program (which I have tried to 'reinstall several times now) or do I need to find this Qt5Core.dll?

Can someone help? I really want to play with graphs!!!

This happened to me when I tried to open it inside the zip file. Be sure and extract all the files from the 7 Zip into another folder. Then open that folder and click on the open or broken GL.

I have to extract all the files to a separate folder? I was just extracting the .exe file and the only choice for where to put it was in my download file.

OMG it worked.

Waluigi - I can't believe it. Thank you so so so much. I was in despair... that I was never going to figure it out.

Thank you!
