I am not sure whether that means they will ship or that is the day they expect them to arrive at their place of business. I am very anxious to try one out.

Good luck.
cpapusa.com has the Hybrid in stock. It is $179.99 plus $5.50 for shipping.

An even better reason to buy it from CPAP.COM.....it would be more than $10 cheaper than at cpapusa.com (CPAP.COM doesn't charge shipping on orders over $100).

I cannot believe they would charge for s/h when it's so expensive. If that's not getting greedy...I'd wait for cpap.com to get it back in stock.

I see it asked about on other forums but no one but Mikemoran has stepped up to give such a "BLOW by BLOW" description, literally, and please excuse the pun.

Believe me, the manufacturer is aware... I told the local sales rep and the central sales rep I talked to that we had over forty people who wanted to try the mask, and that there was a lot of discussion about it on the forum. Didn't convince him to send me any free ones yet, though.

When I called the manufacturer to place my order, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. The lady who took my order of 20 told me that it was getting crazy and that she had received orders for over 200 masks just within the last hour. At this rate, I'm wondering if the manufacturer would be out of product soon......

Birdshell, did you get to see the RT yesterday and ask about this mask? As I said earlier I called the DME indicated on the distributor locator thing and they don't know anything about it. I called Apria today, the RT there hadn't heard of it either. I gave her the details and she was going to check it out. What she found out was that this mask won't be released until the fall and they won't handle it nor can they get it. She then went on to say that I shouldn't even consider this mask as the manufacturer is not known for cpap equipment. I said I would purchase it on line. She asked if I would keep her informed as to my progress with it. My thought was, yeah, right I'll help you like you helped me when I was new and inexperienced. Maybe I can charge them a consultation fee. Inflated, of course.

Absolutely amazing what they'll tell you.

"won't be released until the fall"

Wonder just who she checked with that gave her such misinformation.

I ordered one last night from cpap.com. I'll see what they say today as far as shipping date.

I also called both of the local distributors listed on the web site and they had NO idea what I was talking about. I got the impression that these "distributors" are DMEs that handle any of their oxygen related supplies.

I didn't bother to call the DME I got my machine from. I did call BillMyInsurance.com and they aren't handling it yet. They said it was just too new that they hadn't ironed out the billing yet.

I think we are loosing site of the fact that this wonderful creation was made available to the public less than 2 weeks ago. If Apria has the NasalAire products, they will get this mask, I'm sure. It's sad to see that we are more on top of things in sleep than a huge company like Apria. I read other forums and most people have no idea a solution like this is available. It's too new.The fact that they have already run out of inventory tells them the demand they will need to supply. I saw an article somewhere about it, if I can find it, I will post it.

Hybrid Mask

Post by rascal » Fri Jun 30, 2006 9:03 am

I read the message from sleepdeprived about cpapusa had the mask. I spoke with Mark, the president of the company and had a very nice conversation with me. He advised me that he had sold a lot of them and he is sending one by priority mail today!

I had ordered one from cpap.com on the 25th. I spoke with the representative this morning and he indicated that he still did not have them and seemed to be surprised that I found one. He did allow me to cancel my order without any problem which I appreciated very much.

I know about having to pay for shipping but I decided to bite the bullet and spend the extra to avoid any further frustration.

Have a nice day and thanks for the heads up.

Mike, it has been almost a week now. I am curious if you are still enjoying this mask? Tell us the things that you like/dislike about the mask. Let us know about any tweaking you have done etc. Thanks so much for all of the great info on this mask.

Mike, I don't remember if this was addressed in a previous post but how easy or difficult is it to take apart and clean?

Hybrid Mask

Post by islander » Fri Jun 30, 2006 2:25 pm

The mask is really uncomplicated, breaks down to three parts only except for headgear. This allows for easy washing and reassembly. I am just very pleased with this mask, I can wear it a full eight hours and my numbers are much better as well.

Well, cpap.com just added the charges to my card. I guess that's a good sign. However, the tracking program still says 'Processing'..??
Mabe next week?
