Looking to sell my CPAP
I have a mint condition Invacare Polaris CPAP, which all the necessary tubing and manuals, a soft gel mask and carrying case. I'm asking for $500, half of the MSRP. That price isn't written in stone, I will take the best offer that I get.
Feel free to ask me for details. Since this isn't for a business, I'm pretty sure this doesn't count as soliciting.

I'm assuming here you do not know very much about cpap machines or you wouldn't be asking $500 bucks for an Edsel of a cpap machine.
But $500 for a straight cpap machine? you have to be dreaming, you can buy a brand new machine for less than $250 (yep you got screwed by your DME).

The problem with buying an unpopular machine like that is no one knows anything about them or how to program it without having the clinical manuals on hand, then the guy that sold it to you probably kept the clinical manuals or put them on ebay for sale for $6.
Now had you purchased a more popular machine like say a Remstar and you came here with a problem or needed to know how to program it, there will be a dozen people who know all about those machines that can help you.
Hate to break the news to you, but you'll be lucky if you get $150 for that machine, probably has more value as a door stop or a boat anchor.

A lot of xPAP's are traded on Yahoo Auction. However, I wouldn't count on any big money. Here are some recent examples:
Used Remstar Auto w/C-Flex = $400.00
Used Remstar Pro w/C-Flex = $200.00
New Remstar Pro 2 w/C-Flex = $325.00
I think cpap.com has a similiar new unit for less than $255.00

So Joe Million, did you get another CPAP machine Did you get a dental appliance instead that has worked wonders on your OSA If you did get another machine you might consider keeping the one you are trying but failing to sell as a spare. I think that other poster had the right idea, keeping it as a door stop makes more than selling it. Hell you may even be able to blow balloons up with it .

well, donating the machine to http://www.awakeinamerica.org might be more lucrative, in the form of a tax deductable donation, and at the same time, a truly financially needy person who receives it, won't be too concerned about the brand. If it blows their prescribed pressure, they will just be eternally grateful to have it.

Yeah, I've admitted my lack of knowledge. That doesn't change the fact that you're a douchebag. Oh, but you're right, one little quip wasn't enough- the bid jokes and piggy bank jokes are funnier if you post different versions of them five times.RedThunder94 wrote:thanks, but i'm not the one trying to sell such an awesome machine for half a grand, lol.
