Get one that will record all night to verify therapy effectiveness instead of just getting a spot checking one because the recording ones include software and don't really cost all that much more than a spot checking pulse ox.
Some models here..

Once you decide on a model check EBay and there's another site that Palerider knows about that I can't remember the name right now that the same models can be had for a little less money.
I had a CMS 50 DPlus..and it suite my needs but others seem to like the facier ones with more bells and whistles.

Re: new to VPAP
there's a very simple physical indicator of whether the o2 is flowing into the cpap line... look at the flowmeter on the oxygen concentrator. if that little ball is floating, then oxygen is flowing out of the concentrator.briantrox wrote:Yea sorry guys, I don't feel like the oxygen from my oxygen concentrator is getting into my mask via a oxygen port on the hose that snaps into the outlet of the machine. the pressure just does not seem to be enough to overcome the 22-25 psi I get at night.
unless you've got a hole in your o2 tubing, it's going into the cpap tube... guaranteed.
oh, and btw, 22psi would equal 1546.7530722512 cm/h2o, which is what cpap pressures are measured in, and would cause your chest to explode like a popped balloon.
your machine at 22-25 is equal to 0.31 to 0.35 psi. yes, 1/3rd of 1 psi.
