Thanks, I did have a sleep study, I was rudely awakened and had to put a mask on. I didn't catch what make it was, it seemed pretty bad. I was diagnosed with severe osa. The doctor couldn't believe I had apnea and I didn't either, but at this point I feel like I am committed, just want the best value and a good machine to last for a few years and not be taken. I seemed to like the resmed airsense 10 autoset. Thanks everyone again for your help!

the airsense 10 autoset is a great machine, but being nearly brand new, you'll spend more $$$ on it than the s9 autoset, which is also a great machine.

get your hands on your prescription, and we can offer even better advice.

The mask does not always look like something worn in a cockpit, or a fire truck.
Sometimes it is more minimal, giving a mild sense of (((giggle))) bondage.

I was like him ten years ago, and I was in denial. I didn't take my CPAP therapy seriously and soon developed a very serious case of Atrial Fibrillation.........and five years later I was in the hospital hooked up on a heart bypass machine under going open heart surgery with no other health or heart problems. At this point I'd definitely say my problem was brought on by untreated severe apnea. I had insurance, but the operation was well over 100K.........now I won't sleep a minute without the cpap machine, so think carefully about your future.......I was about your age when all this started! They had a difficult time getting my ticker restarted, I am just glad I am here now and dutifully using my cpap every time I sleep whether at home or traveling.

I thought the whole sleep study and cpap was one big medical con game, just like you. Don't do what I did!
